if you're interested in history or foreign language literature you'll end up repeatedly buying the same books because you'll pass a copy of a book you like that says "WORLD'S BEST TRANSLATION!" on the cover and you'll go "pfff whatever, I read the world's best translation YEARS ago" and the cover will say something like "includes sections never before translated into English" and you'll pick up the book and check the publication date and it was published five years ago and you read the other translation ten years ago and then you'll sigh and take the book to the cashier
so like, remember to budget for that
