Meet: Tamerlane 'Tammy' Keane-Greene
Tamerlane is one of the first to really help Kiki, one of the first to see through the bullshit lies she tells to protect herself. She's also the one to show Kiki the most affection, even when everything else happens. Even when Simone tries to take over. It's easy though, in the end, for Tammy to break down all the lies, show the world just how badly Kiki had been treated. All she needs now is to work out what she actually wants when it comes to Kiki.
Meet: Sadie Jones
Sadie Jones has always hated Kiki's husband. It's that simple. So when Sadie walks in on the photographer breaking Kiki's heart, she's quick to reassure her that she too had seen what happened, that Simone had not betrayed her, only her husband. It takes time, truly, to convince Kiki to believe her, it takes a long time for Kiki to let her buy her freedom from the man, buy the aviary, buy the house, sell off the man's belongings. The man will leave in the end and Sadie will finally be free to move into Kiki's life, even when her husband wants the house for himself, he won't get it.
Juliet Montague, the worst nightmare for Kiki's husband, but she has never cared about that. So, when Kiki shows up on her doorstep, pale, trembling and clearly frozen, she pulls her inside. She had always known this could happen, but she's also always had a plan for revenge. So when the divorce papers arrive, she coaxes Kiki to sign them, then chooses to marry the woman herself, suing the man for the damage done to the woman she loves, the two fighting him side by side. Simone crawls back to Kiki but even then Juliet sees her for what she is... a desperate, lonely girl. She pays the girls ticket home then works, once and for all, on saving Kiki from her worst habits, her desperate need to rehabilitate people.
