With just about one week until Miss Fisher Con 2026 (and in honor of Geraldine Hakewill’s birthday), Flat Peregrine is hitting her last stop before joining up with her Aunt Phryne in Las Vegas. She stopped into beautiful Portland, Oregon, to check out the home of Miss Fisher Con 2018.

Her first stop was at the iconic Powell’s Books, the largest independent bookstore in the world. She found a book she’s sure will come in handy eventually. Next, she stopped by Pittock Mansion, which was not quite as mod as she’d live in, but still stunning. After that, she stopped by the world-famous Portland Japanese Gardens before finally stopping to admire this statue of fellow adventuress and PNW legend Sacajawea. She ended her night by recalling her case of the Soviet spies by eating at Kachka for some Cold War, Soviet-era food.

Side note: polonium-210 is a very dangerous isotope, however it "does not pose a radiation hazard when kept outside the body", as the alpha particle it emits have very little penetration power and cannot pierce even the outer layers of dead skin. It has still killed countless people, though, not because of children's rings, but because of tobacco. Polonium latches onto and concentrates in tobacco leaves, leading to heavy smokers being exposed to more radiation than survivors of the Chernobyl disaster.

Labubus are blind bags but they're also blind bags with some of the most insane dark patterns stacked on top. The online store for them has a thing where they tell you what you got the second you order it online so that you can immediately try again if you didn't get the thing you wanted.

I recently rewatched the 80s Superman movies, and it's really unclear to me why they will not Kneel Before Zod.
