1) Kids are little humans and they’re learning and they should be treated as little humans who are learning. Don’t be a dick to kids. Adults who are assholes to kids is such a bad look, and kids remember that shit.

Valka had 20 years to get to where she is now, which is able to lead an entire group of about a dozen dragons with her staff and being able to move around on Cloudjumper without the need of a saddle and without losing her balance. We don’t know how long it took her to get here or if she can do more.

And then Hiccup, who has only spent the past 5 years with dragons, can calm down an entire cave chamber filled with dragons through the use of his Inferno and his body language. That and he also seems to be standing in the saddle when he catches that sheep at the end of the second movie.

Drago tames his dragons either by force through his Bewilderbeast or by showing his unwavering dominance over a particular dragon. And while Drago had defeated Hiccup in their first battle, during their second and final one, Hiccup proves himself the better Dragon Master of the two simply because his bond with Toothless is stronger than the will Drago forced upon him. This is something that impresses even Drago, himself, who previously thought there was only one person capable of controlling the dragons (him) and who thought nothing of Hiccup.

All these three individual have their own strengths and ways. Hiccup and Valka don’t exactly make use of a King of Dragons to force others to join them, for example, it’s hard to compare them. But I do think that Hiccup has a slight edge over his two elders (Dragon masters-wise) due to only being 20 years old (half the age of both Valka and Drago) and already being at the level that he is.
