Look Daredevil vs Kingpin is a classic and it's great but imagine how infinitely funnier it would be if it was Kingpin vs Jessica Jones. Just imagine how helpless Fisk would be against her. She is a not a vigilante since she has a private detective licence so she is legal. He can't intimidate her because she is a depressed alcoholic with super strength. He can't threaten her loved ones because the only person she ever truly loved is her sister who is in the most high secure prison on the planet way out of Fisk's reach. He can't besmirch her reputatation and set the media against her because she doesn't have any repuation. He can hold the most eloquent passionate speech denoucning her and when the media finds her passed out in the garbage in front of a bar and asks for rebuttal she will just call him a prenteious cocksucker and New York will immediately side with her. Also as a private detective not only is she used to digging dirt but the dirt she digs is legally admissable so will immediately take down quite a few of his minions And worst of all at the end of the day Fisk is a brawler. He dreams of nothing more then to fight Daredevil one on one and beat him but he can't do that with Jessica because she has actual super strength and she can knock him out with one punch....if she is holding back. If she is not holding back hat one punch would burst him open like meat pinata. He is physically impotent against her and this would enrgae him to an insane degree

the thing is that the original jessica jones show was a beautiful nexus of the most awful women you could fathom to meet. led by our intrepid misanthropic alcoholic ptsd-riddled heroine who violently pushes people away so she can be alone with her own misery, also featuring her cptsd poster child adopted sister who struggles with substance abuse, relentless ambition, and a mountain-sized ego that has her convinced she has a pure and correct grasp of right and wrong above all others, also featuring an unrepentantly unpleasant and unlikeable high-powered lesbian lawyer with a terminal illness who cheats on her wife with a secretary and later instigates the murder of the other lover she took after getting swindled. who else has done wretched women quite like this, in leading roles, without letting you squirm away from either their best or their ugliest aspects

You don't have to force yourself to bounce back so quickly. I read something recently that said "when you come in from a rainstorm, you don't expect yourself to be dry and warm right away", and it really resonated with me. something i think people get wrong sometimes when they write shane in fanfiction is the way they approach his disordered eating. he's not starving himself. he's not purposefully skipping meals, he's not anorexic or trying to deprive his body of nutrients, it's the opposite. he likely has a set amount of protein and calories he wants to maintain every day to keep his body at optimum performance and starving himself would cause him to lose muscle mass and feel weak and dizzy on the ice and he cannottttt have that. his eating disorder manifests in meticulously macroed out meals that he has to eat on a strict schedule and he most definitely logs everything and going off script would make him anxious, fixated on what he needs to do to make up for the trangression, etc. but it's not believable to me that he is depriving his body of food at any point. he is eating food. but it's not enjoyable to him. it's strictly fuel and numbers
