it’s hard to love a damaged person it’s hard to walk away from a damaged person you tried to love it’s hard to watch that damaged person love someone else turn them into damaged goods & never realize the toxicity they drag behind them it’s hard to do a lot of things but one of the hardest things I’ve ever done was love a damaged person try to mend them together like a broken vase & some glue it’ll forever be fragile cracks forever visible it’ll never be the same I imagine pain does the same thing to a person if you pay close attention you begin to realize the cracks that remain in their spirit & your love will never be enough to glue them back together they’ll never be whole it’s hard to love a damaged person & watch them suffer through trying to comprehend the good love from the bad the hopes of a pure thing to the nightmares that creep inside their heart & taint anything that was once golden & sacred it’s hard to do a lot of things but one of the hardest things I’ve ever done was love a damaged person you can’t make a person find strength in their being stitch them back together heal their wounds.. doesn’t matter if your kisses are as sweet as honey your touch as gentle as a feather your heart as pure as angels themselves you can’t undo what’s been done you will kill yourself trying to be their hero you will break your own heart thinking they will save you from falling they’re too busy saving themselves the irony in it all? a damaged person will damage you they’ll break your spirit have you sitting around wondering why you couldn’t make them better like as if God gave you that healing power through the love you radiate itself you will become just as bruised & wounded as them the longer you try to love them take it from me walk away wave your white flag & add to the list of losses your being is more important than the pain a damaged lover can cause you to endure one of the hardest things I’ve ever done was love a damaged person

I pray that God heals all that is causing your distress and that He gives you something greater in return.
