The SAVE Act (H.R. 22 / S.128) would require citizens to present documentary proof of citizenship like a birth certificate or passport in person just to register to vote.

69 million women who have taken their spouse’s last name do not have a birth certificate that matches their legal name.

Trans people who change their name to reflect their gender identity may be denied updated passports or birth certificates.

For many disabled people, traveling to an office to register in person is difficult or impossible.

Naser worked as a translator and logistics contractor for the U.S. forces at military bases in Afghanistan, according to a press release from AfghanEvac, a nonprofit created to support the safe relocation of Afghan allies.

Help Save the Jambato: Ecuador’s Last Population Is at Risk

The Jambato Harlequin Toad (Atelopus ignescens) was believed extinct for nearly 30 years. Rediscovered in 2016 in Angamarca, Ecuador, its only remaining wild population—just 92 to 359 individuals—is once again at risk due to a road expansion cutting through its sole habitat. This site is internationally recognized as a Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) and an Alliance for Zero Extinction (AZE) site—the first KBA in Ecuador created specifically to protect an amphibian species. Despite this, construction has damaged the Guambaine River, threatening the species during its most vulnerable life stage.

Alianza Jambato, a coalition of scientists and local communities, is working to prevent this extinction. We are not against development—we are calling for responsible infrastructure that respects biodiversity and the Rights of Nature.

After drones repeatedly hovered over the ‘Madleen’ last night, we need people of the world to help tag and email their foreign ministry. The volunteers aboard are delivering life-saving aid to Gaza. They are unarmed, carrying only food, medicine, and baby formula, and acting fully within international law.

It’s time for world governments to step up. Demand they protect their citizens aboard the ‘Madleen’ and stop enabling Israel’s war crimes.

Safe passage is a legal obligation, and a moral one.
