After a year of working together—during months- or weeks-long residencies, as well as more sporadic meetings in Hautepierre and downtown Strasbourg, across the border—we, Imane LHUILLIER, Antoine DÉCOMBE, and Marine FRŒLIGER, have gotten to know one another and embarked on the adventure of co-creation.
Our trio consists of Imane, 18, who writes and draws; Antoine, 25, an art school student working in video; and Marine, 39, a multimedia artist and art school professor.
O҉K҉/҉K҉O҉ emerged from a diverse range of readings—poems, plays, novels, essays, and geology textbooks—mostly written by women. These texts opened up critical, sensitive, and poetic perspectives for us on issues of positioning, language, marginality, and power. This dynamic, ever-shifting material—which sparks echoes, disagreements, and explorations of the voice in public space—has allowed us to develop a shared language while revealing gaps, differing approaches, and uneven trajectories that we have chosen not to smooth over.
Working as a trio while getting to know one another required a deep commitment to listening, adapting, and sometimes stepping back. This process of building connections—slow, fragile, and at times conflict-ridden—is an integral part of the process, not just a side note.
