I do feel like this site (the parts i'm on at least) can be butch centric often, and as a person who's butch and attracted to butch identity, I tend to feed that. But I love femmes, and my femme4femme counterparts. Femme identity is so diverse and genderfucking in its own regard, but I only ever speak on the butch experience because thats my own. Just know I have so much respect and appreciation for y'all and everything you do for our community. It deserves to be appreciated regardless of if, or how, you show up or show off.

i really feel like some people in the lesbian community but ESPECIALLY in the butchfemme community don’t understand just how sacred a relationship is between a butch and a femme. like, it feels like it’s been watered down to aesthetics and it’s so frustrating. from what i’ve observed from some people’s blogs, it seems like you’re only idealizing them and liking the idea of what a butch can provide. you’re not genuinely interested in who they are, who they’ve been in the past, the small little things that make up who they are. it’s also a matter of refusing to acknowledge the sacred history of butch/femme. it just really upsets me when butches are only seen as sex toys, providers, or even worse, chalked up to man equivalents. this is a psa to please cherish butches and make them well-loved and cared for just as they do for you. mic drop.
