i rlly liked this one so i made some guys. they don't have set pronouns or anything yet. blank flanks that have yet to discover their cutie marks.
Truck! idk what catering folk usually make. i've been to one event that i know was catered and they had pulled pork so like. why not burger. burger truck.
The frostbite is from helping a friend with liquid nitrogen in their (non gear) ice cream truck one time, and it spilled on them. This has caused some scarring across their torso and legs, mainly around the core, where the skin was effected.
Truck is very friendly and generous! they tend to have their gear out most of the time and just parked at home or wherever is appropriate because of the immense energy it takes to summon it.
My initial voice claim for them is Megaran (i love megaran's music so much, check him out, i reccomend tractor beam, splash woman, and infinite lives caus those are just some of my faves rn.) but i had also considered 2mwad because of the spongebob inspo. just make bro sound ridiculous.
Gameplay wise, the idea is that they would primarily use their spatula to do melee damage, and maybe serve burgers to teammates to heal them. probably tanky too i'd think. As for the ult, you hit f. the ult animation is Truck getting into the car. and you get movement improvement (i feel like scythes ult but i havent used her ult in ages) you get an amount of driving time and when you recast or you run out of time, the truck does a spin and drops burgers for your team to pick up and heal with, then you get out and keep phighting.
Grill's initial gear is charcoal, but much prefers using a grill in combat. thankfully their original gear can be used to fuel their synthetic gear! well, they prefer propane but this is at least convenient. Grill has been cooking for a while, good business, but then Truck came along and started stealing their customers! They became jealous quite quickly, and is always on the move trying to catch up and overtake Truck.
Grill has POTS, which is a further obstacle and makes their job much more difficult, especially when they push themself. I didn't put it in a bullet point but they also have a cleft lip they spawned with. Canonically, they'd keep up this one phernal catering service for maybe a month, and during that month they'd absolutely be feeling The Symptoms™ much worse than their regular slower business style. They may have some things to care for themselves. They have a cane but tend to use the grill as a walker when they're out instead, and they may have compression garments. Also they will absolutely have a messed up back eventually for carrying a minifridge, and a battery that's able to power it for hours at a time, on their back.
The voice claim is Steve Buscemi doing a Suction Cup Man impression. I was initially going to do new yorker, specifically brooklyn, but the thought of it was funny. I also thought it would be fun if they moved like a Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs character. I've never played Pizza tower but I also was thinking about it a bit when designing Grill.
In game, i think Grill would also be melee, moreso support. Since they carry all their ingredients on their back, they can use their condiments and pickles to make slippery hazards on the map, they can also dump or chuck hot charcoal at their enemies, i was thinking the ult could be a huge move involving this since their phinisher energy would go into that charcoal.
And then both of them would have some really fun lines whenever they eliminated each other, or were on the same team.
