I fucking love this video
spell of Summon A Friend on 914 days left
getting lost in boston is fun because I turned around on a street corner three times and some guy yelled "hey stupid! the bus is that way!" very helpful interaction and accurate insult, 10/10 no notes
one time I walked around a building a couple times looking for a bathroom and this guy went "this bitch thinks she's on a merrygoround, where the fuck are you tryna go? bathroom? one floor down to the right behind the door that says bathroom."
My very first time in Boston. I was absolutely miserable, trying to drag my giant suitcase up a lengthy set of stairs in the pouring rain. This guy who had already reached the top looked back at me with the most pure expression of disgust Iâve ever seen in anyoneâs eyes, marched back down the stairs, grabbed my suitcase, carried it to the top, left it there for me, and walked away without ever saying a word. I think about him often.
For the people in the notes going "why is Boston like this": a) the insults are a way to show you have no ulterior motives when helping someone (and don't need to be thanked or repaid), and b) Boston was settled by the Irish
also the Italians. mixing Irish and Italian sociocultural attitudes had the effect of multiplying the Sass Levels by the power of infinity, in the sense that you get all of the clever dry wit of the Irish and all of the bitchy gossipy condensation of the Italians rolled into one very stereotypically overly-friendly American package.
also worth noting that who you are to them doesnât matter. theyâll talk to strangers like that and will also talk to their best friends like that. theyâre just Like That.

I'm imagining a fortune teller who's also a child so her idea of what a good fate is vs a terrible one isn't really in line with her clients at all
Imagine u go to visit the oraclet (oracling?) and she tells u there's untold riches in your future and later it becomes very apparent that what she was predicting was you winning $20 from a lottery ticket
She dismisses every wedding she predicts as a Terrible Fate because she thinks the kissing is cringe

Hands down my favorite part of Night At The Museum is that itâs low key the plot of The Mummy (1999) but like, chill.
Like Rami Malekâs character isnât like a mannequin come to life like the rest of them. Heâs 100% a 3000 year old reanimated corpse. And everyoneâs just fine with it.
He could just take the tablet and fully walk out of the museum and just live his life but heâs a bro and would rather be a glorified docent.
Okay, but I love that night at the museum has the exact set up for a horror movie and the only reason itâs family friendly is because the characters choose to try and understand each other and be helpful. You could literally keep the entire opening and premise of the film and make an R rated horror flick.
#FUCK YOUâRE RIGHT #god he could justâŚbounce #he could just take the tablet and go get a job (x)
Shoot From The Hip - Improvised Play 48: The Hobnob Affair (2025)
Bonus:
i love when youâre talking to someone whoâs not from florida and you just casually mention a thing that only happens in Florida and it ruins their whole day
one time i was talking to some guy and he was like âhaha how do yall get alligators in your backyard? do you not have fences?â and i had to inform him that gators can absolutely climb fences
omw to go sit in your pool
this is why kennedy space center had to install fancy outward-curving fences around the launchpad, bc gators climbing over regular fences and getting on the launchpad could be very dangerous
Iâd like to think that the âSTOP đâ sign is also for the gators.
The gators donât abide by our petty laws. They areâŚinstigators.
turns out they climb trees too. Like regularly. they tend to do it a lot less once they reach certain sizes, but like several crocodilian species turn out to have a whole development period where they spend a lot of time in trees, and we just never knew that until like 2014 because, understandably, nobody who was studying them thought âi wonder if I should look for a bunch of crocodiles up in the treesâ

tv shows with time travel organizations/bureaus/police/agencies/whatever should have a department with instead of a tech genius eating candy, itâs a harried seamstress or fashion designer who is like
â1450 italy? does it look like I have the time to dye you wool? nO. YOUâRE GOING TO THE 1980sâ
and throws shoulder pads at the hapless time agent
And sheâs always having problems with two particular female agents - Emma who argues with her every time stays or a corset are required and refuses to wear them, and Jen, a desk agent who already had appropriate clothing of her own when she was sent to the 1880s in an administrative pinch (which was a great relief to the very overworked wardrobe department, that all they had to do was inspect the agentâs own clothes), wears modern reproduction Victorian clothing to work, and has never been seen in modern clothing by anyone at the agency - Jenâs a worse nitpicker than the head seamstress herself, and willingly admits that she applied to work at the agency because sheâs sick of office dress codes that expect her to own and wear modern fast fashion, and she figured an office where people *time travel* wouldnât care as much.
She has just accepted that any situation involving a certain range of time periods and Emma means she needs to schedule the argument and alot time for it. She likes Jen sometimes, but Jen also drives the whole agency nuts - and she thinks Jen is borrowing things from the wardrobe department without permission. And Jen tends to get into fights with Emma and some of the equally militant modern feminists who have Opinions on bust support. Emma says she will *not* wear a torture device for fashion, Jen says that is not what those garments are and hers is comfortable and if anything sheâd call Emmaâs modern bra torturous, she hates them, and then next thing anyone knows, thereâs two ladies throwing punches in the middle of the wardrobe department, getting chunks of hair and splatters of blood all over the place.
As if that wasnât bad enough, half of the men refuse to wear âskirtsâ or anything they think of as âwomenâs clothesâ, regardless of the context for the garment and the fact that all of the other men in that place and time will be wearing the same thing. And half of the women arenât anywhere near as bad as Jen or Emma, but will refuse to wear *trousers* or anything the 21st century considers explicitly masculine! âI signed up for time travel, not crossdressing!â
Oh my godddddd, I totally forgot about Emma and Jen.

I donât like how Iâm kinda expected to rewrite the first 20 years of my life just because Iâm trans. I was the eldest daughter in a black household. I canât go back and edit my history to say I was the eldest son, cuz that doesnât accurately convey the certain standards I was held to. I was the only girl in my engineering class. I canât leave out the âgirlďżźâ part. It recontextualizes the entire situation. I donât think either of those facts invalidates my current gender and I donât think trans people should be expected to rewrite their own history in fear of that
