letās solve it once and for all:
EVEN NUMBERS: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, ect.
ODD NUMBERS: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, ect.
if it splits into two EVEN groups, then itās an even number. if it donāt, then itās an odd number.
50 and 30 are both even numbers.
but 5 splits into 2.5 and 2.5. that must be even
so must the others
if a number can split into TWO EVEN INTEGERS it is even, if it cannot it is odd
example:
5 splits into 2.5 and 2.5, but 2.5 is not an integer so 5 is odd
10 splits into 5 and 5, 5 is an integer so it is even
THIS IS NOT HARD TO GRASP
but 5.0 is the same as 5, and therefore 5 isnāt an integer. this means 10 is odd
