Castiel had been using his free arm to point at the stars and explain each of their histories. Sam listening with wonder and awe. This goes on until the moon goes to sleep and the sun comes to play. If Sam had his way he would've ignored his heavy eyelids and listened to Cas talk about the nature around them. The history day had was entirely different than night, but Castiel assured him he'd tell Sam after he got some rest.
