An update from the show: the anime will cover the first two games in the series, it sounds like!
Another update from 4Gamer’s write-up:
- Director Watanabe describes the theme of the series as “the surging ‘heat’ that has been at the heart of Ace Attorney.” He wants to portray the burning heart of Phoenix who protects those who stand alone. - The story is based on episodes from Ace Attorney 1 and Attorney 2, and they are going to portray them in a rich way that makes use of the medium. The production studio has the full support of Capcom, and Watanabe and Takumi have had discussions every night over the hotline to get everything wright. Takumi directly oversees elements like the script (the spoken lines of the characters) and the direction. - The new serialized manga, based on the anime, is scheduled to start slightly earlier than the TV broadcast of the series.
Ok, so I admit I’ve been somewhat unhyped about this due to certain worries of its quality, but this may have just eased them… almost. Three cheers for the anime!
