Bureaucracy sucks. I just want to know if i can apply to the program i want. I need to get that call back (it's always voicemail).
A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previou
Letβs fucking go
This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
"next time, log in faster with fingerprint/face/iris recognition!" how about i keep typing my password like i have for the past 25 years and you fuck off

what was your biggest childhood dream?
to be understood!!!
Just a quick one - the Waxwings were just here. This video is not ideal but you can hear their sounds, and in the end see that an adult is feeding his baby in the Serviceberry π
Next time youβre watching any news show or political coverage see how many of these you can spot:
Quick rundown of each propaganda technique:
β’ Glittering Generalities: Using vague, emotionally appealing words (like βfreedomβ or βjusticeβ) that sound good but lack specific meaning.
β’ Transfer: Associating a person, idea, or product with something already respected or disliked (like using a flag, religion, or celebrity image) to carry over those feelings.
β’ Name-Calling: Attaching negative labels to an opponent or idea to create fear or distrust without real evidence.
β’ Card-Stacking: Presenting only positive information for one side and leaving out or distorting the negatives.
β’ Testimonial: Having a famous or respected person endorse an idea, product, or cause.
β’ Plain Folks: Presenting the speaker as an βordinaryβ person to seem relatable and trustworthy.
β’ Band Wagon: Urging people to follow the crowd with the idea that βeveryone else is doing it.β
I like this because it's purely educational and not accusatory at all.
They just tell you what to watch out for without attaching any shame to it.
For real, I suggest this for all spoonies π₯
I hate to wait for a call back. I called my case worker t check if I would be eligible for the "legal technician" program. It sould be nice if I could just email her with the code of the program and not be stuck in my house waiting for an answer.
Inscription must be made before September 2, but i want to have this sorted ASAP. I don't feel I'll be getting a job between now and September. I didn't get any call back from last week's interview.

βLove is loveβ okay but can we talk about people whose identities donβt focus on feelings for another person? Pretty please???
I've been extra stressed and anxious the last couple of days and I noticed a patch of eczema popped up. Turn out stress can trigger a eczema flair. Heat also triggered my anxiety and stress. And heat and humidity can also trigger eczema. Great! At least it's smaller than a dime, but it sucks. Summer sucks.
I hate anxiety that goes away and when you think you're good...
It's a 2 clonazepram kinda day.
am i allowed to say kill all trillionaires or is that too specific of a threat

as a minor, did you choose to only engage with media designed for or targeted at kids/teens of your age?
(ex: chose to not watch anything pg13 until turning 13, no adult content until you were 18)
As a minor, did you choose to only engage with media designed for or targeted at kids/teens of your age?
Yes
No
im curious about a specific generational divide
regardless of you being queer or not, did your parents ever gave you the "if you turn out to be gay it would be fine" talk, before you ever had the chance to say anything on your own about that?
gen z, yes
gen z, no
millenial, yes
millenial, no
gen x, yes
gen X, no
baby boomer, yes
baby boomer, no
because it happened to me and im wondering if this was a product of the ongoing cultural change around gay issues. before i ever had the chance to say to my parents "i am this" my mom was already sitting me aside to tell me "if there is anything you want to tell me, i want you to know ill accept you no matter what"
