Tagged by @droughtofapathy (thank you, beloved mutual.)
1. What's your blog title from ?
voltives was a spur-of-the-moment improvisation, it just popped into my mind one day. I like to consider it a combination of the word 'archives' and 'voltage', and I don't know why those two are linked. Similar to votive candles, but just with an L I guess. As for blog title, it's the title of my favourite album by Hiroshi Sato.
2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?
Backrooms. I liked it. I think the backrooms being considered an analogy for AI is especially relevant in this day and age. How it misremembers things and tries to recreate things from the real world in its likeness.
3. What are you looking forward to right now?
Uh, a ship between me and my best friend of our OC's. Famously dubbed Leonton (Anton + Leontine), it's kind of all I can think about right now. When it comes to writing your original characters, you do kind of have to do everything yourself. Sure, it's M/F, but I do like it alot.
4. If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?
Probably go to the gym, or make a cup of this hot chocolate wheat drink I like. It's good.
5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, soda, etc.)
Cold filtered water, unsweetened barley tea, or pocari sweat. It's a nice sports drink that kind of works really well for replenishing electrolytes.
6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?
Shampoo and conditioner every other day. Hair oil when I feel like it. In the morning, it's pomade, gel and hairspray to get it to sit.
7. What's your favorite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?
I quite like trains. Not when I have to do work, because the motion makes me nauseous when I have to concentrate on my screen, but for staring out the window it's nice. Buses are a close second when they're not packed.
8. Favorite month of the year and why?
Fuck, I don't know. Probably like, May? May.
9. Favorite time of day and why?
Anytime between 11pm and 3am. It's like prime real estate for my insomnia.
10. Do you play or follow any sports? Elaborate on that.
I do not.
11. What kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?
Anything by Liana Flores. I really like that indie folk vibe as of late, anything that calms my brain.
12. Dishes or laundry?
Laundry. Fuck those dishes.
13. What's something you learned recently?
The kind of deer that live in the UK. Had to research it for something I'm writing.
14. If you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?
Give me an hour to prep and I'll talk about 19th-Century medical misogyny and the diagnosis of hysteria as a "feminine disorder" all day.
15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
Something beautiful is going to happen. Thanks, Disco Elysium.
16. What's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?
The only way is through, my guy. Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and do it. Do it scared, but by Jove, just do it.
17. Do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?
I do not.
18. Are you musical? Play any instruments or sing? Would you ever perform for an audience?
I am hardly musical. I do like musicals, though.
20. Write, type, or speak?
Depends if I'm alone or not. Speaking out loud helps me to articulate things, but I do like typing things out.
21. What do you wish someone would ask you?
Anything about my OC's. I love talking about my OC's.
I think my entire tumblr circle of mutuals has been tagged already, so if you haven't done this yet feel free to consider yourself tagged!
@stellagibs0ns said it best. jamie lloyd is in fact, the em*rald fe*nell of the theatre world

sucks so unbelievably bad that you can’t just like be a lady’s maid anymore. there used to be a job that consisted of taking care of one woman’s every need every day for your whole life including dressing and undressing her and living with her and that was a normal thing to do in fact it was encouraged.
you've met me at a very "yeah i'm trying to work on that" time in my life
i often hear actors and singers referred to as “interpreters of sondheim” but i’ve never heard anyone referred to as an “interpreter of webber.” the reason for this is obvious but i still find it funny
the people who enjoy the type of art you create, will like it even if it's imperfect. and the people who hate the type of art you create, will dislike it even if it IS perfect.
don't skip ahead of bullies and bully yourself first. don't badmouth your own work, it doesn't alter other people's opinion on art, but it does make you feel worse about yourself.

Not "The Character did nothing wrong" or "The Character is irredeemably awful" but a secret third thing: The Character may display moments of deep love & compassion, may even have a strong sense of ethics, and may also be capable of brutal cruelty that is irreconcilable with those traits. The constant tension between the different sides of The Character's nature is exactly what makes them compelling, and attempting to reduce them down to simply "a terrible person" or "innocent & misunderstood" is missing the point of the questions a media with nuanced characters is asking you to consider

make that blorbo disabled. hit them with the disability beam. especially if they obviously were or should have been disabled in canon but canon didn't meaningfully dwell on it
this too shall pass but the fuck was that for

Hold awn..
Scrolled too fast and thought Stephen Sondheim invented some kind of new Passion yuri going on I was not aware of.
No one wants to impress Jodie Foster anymore. It's ruining our country.
