Describe Them Physically:

Danny has short, messy brown hair and pine-green eyes set in an oval-shaped face with a well-defined jawline. His skin is fair, but constantly coated in dirt from being out in the desert for long stretches of time. He has a straight, pointed nose and thin lips. His round eyes and youthful complexion give him a boyishly handsome look. He is lean-muscled and stands at about 5'10". His fingers are long and slender, and his palms are rough from the work that came with being raised a scavenger. He smells like sweat mixed with grease.

Describe How They Dress:

Danny does tan, but the sun beating down on him exhausts/dehydrates him, so he sticks to wearing clothes that will cover his skin. They usually come from homes or bodies he's scavenged. Before he gets the Veteran Armor, he wears a tattered, long, light-weight olive-colored jacket with a yellow-plaid inner lining, a dirty red muffler scarf (that he uses to cover his face when the wind is bad and blowing sand everywhere), dirty linen button-down, brown cargo pants, dark brown, duct-taped boots, goggles pushed up onto his forehead, brown leather fingerless gloves, and a leather messenger bag used to carry his parcels.

Favorite Things:

Fancy Lads Snack Cakes and cowboy boots! As @advanced-imbecile-art and I have discussed, Danny was raised in a family of impoverished scavengers in Dayglow. There was a Followers outreach program there, where a determined young teacher attempted to educate the kids of these scavenger families. Danny was never big on his education, since he was more concerned about helping his family, but his parents encouraged him to try it, as they wanted better for their son than they had. In return for working on his reading/solving math equations, and to motivate him, the teacher would give him snack cakes. Baby Danny went nuts for them.

As for the boots, he saw a pre-war advertisement for them and thought they were nifty and stylish. He is on a quest to find the perfect pair.

Least Favorite Things:

Bugs—he hates bugs with a passion. The Legion—Danny believes in freedom and autonomy and they are not that. He's also not big on the NCR and their expansion into the Mojave and their treatment of the locals, especially with how he grew up, but he'd take them over the Legion any day.

Hobbies:

Comic Book collecting (he likes to look at the pictures and make up his own stories). Repairing old toys to hand out to kids in need. I was also considering having him collect pre-war postcards from major landmarks/cities like Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Las Vegas etc. They're probably the closest things he'll get to a photograph of the places he's traveled.

Quirks:

Danny's red muffler goes everywhere with him. It belonged to his mother and it is all he has left of his parents. He is very protective over it. Danny struggles with the concept of personal space and has a tendency to stand way too close to people. He also has a habit of going through people's stuff without permission—something scavengers in Dayglow are used to doing (to the point it's expected) to steal scrap from their competitors. Danny has a tendency to chew on anything that gets put in his hand, particularly pens, pencils, etc.

What's Up in the Romance Department:

Danny's not really for commitment because of his job as a courier and the fact that he is gone all the time. What few relationships he had ended because of the distance. He is very loyal and gentle when it comes to his lovers—the kind of guy who'd peel an orange for you. He has a preference for strong women who can handle themselves in the wasteland, and develops a crush on Kate, my Followers OC, after watching her violently bludgeon a cazador to death with a rock.

Best Qualities:

Though he may be reluctant, Danny has a strong protective instinct and feels obligated to help people who can't help themselves. He's brave, adaptable, tenacious, and charming in a sort of feral "brainless beauty" kind of way.

Worst Flaws:

At the start of the events of New Vegas, Danny wants to stay out of the politics of the region, and is content to let everyone duke it out however they may. All he was concerned about was getting the chip back and putting Benny in his place. This indifference has him making some pretty questionable choices throughout the story, whose consequences weigh heavy on him once he gets fully invested in the conflict. He is prone to rushing headfirst into problems without thinking them through. He's also gullible to the point of believing that siding with House may be the best decision for the fate of New Vegas.

Fears/Phobias:

Danny hates being at the center of the conflict in the Mojave, and feels an immense pressure has been placed on him. Everyone is looking to him to make decisions, and no matter what he decides, someone always winds up getting hurt. He fears having to choose the fate of New Vegas to the point he's losing sleep and having panic attacks over it. He's also terrified of bugs, lol.

Tell Us in a Few Lines How You Got the Idea for Them/How They Came to Be:

Danny started out as a Mortal Kombat Black Dragon OC, but I've been sticking him in different media I'm into. MK!Danny is very different from Fallout!Danny. In this iteration, he is American as opposed to English, dumb as opposed to having a genius intellect, and heroic rather than hedonistic and selfish. I really liked the idea of taking a cold, calculating hitman and turning him into a goofball. MK!Danny would never be caught dead wearing cowboy boots. Fallout!Danny is "new boot goofin"
