Since some of you don't seem to understand how this 'new notes' thing works, I'll break it down:
I'm the OP. I'm making this post. If you like, comment, reblog (without comment) on this post, then I'm the one who will see all those notes in my activity page.
However...
If you reblog (with comment), I will get a notification that you did that, but any likes/comments/reblogs (without comment) you get on that reblog will only be shown to you. As OP I won't see them.
If someone adds a reblog (with comment) to your reblog...as OP I won't see that. I won't see any of those notes in my activity page.
Basically, if someone with a large following makes a comment, then they will get all the notes and OP will see nothing. If OP has said something silly because they're, y'know, 21 and it happens, and then someone reblogs it onto the dash of someone with a large following who then dunks on them for fun? OP doesn't see it, doesn't get notes for it, but they're gonna get the harrassment for it in their inbox.
If I, someone with a 5 digit follower count, reblog something to correct misinformation on Ancient Egypt, then OP will never see it unless it was on the original post, but I will continue to get notes on that post even though it's not my post. If I reblog fanart, or just art in general, with a comment like 'Oh this is so lovely!' then OP will not see any of the notes from people reblogging it from me. They'll only see my reblog. So it's possible for an art post by someone else to have 200 notes for them, but 9000 for someone who reblogs it with a comment, and the OP artist will have no idea it's been seen by that many people.
It's killing blow to the community we've built here, by someone higher up who doesn't understand that being able to see all the comments and reblogs is what makes this site the place I keep coming back to.
That's what sucks.
I encourage people to go to tumblr's support page, select contact support, and then in the dropdown menu select 'Feedback' and leave polite and constructive feedback (for those of you who enjoy 'emails worded politely but are a strong 'are you an idiot?', try that way of wording it). They're more likely to listen to you if you're not an asshole about it. I've already gone and done this, and I hope others will too.

Okay, so I keep seeing tropes where Danny gets stuck in Gotham for whatever reason - Clockwork shenanigans, portal accidents, dimensional travel, etc - and immediately finds the Gotham Public Library. Which is great. But I give you this: Danny's best friend has an internet network more private than the Fortress of Solitude. Danny, Sam, and Tucker have practically admitted to war crimes via Tucker's secure line. So, it doesn't really cross Danny's mind that using the public internet at the library would be traceable.
Thus Barbara Gordon, otherwise known as Oracle, comes across several strange inquires during her periodical browser history checks.

So... that's kind of suspicious. Barbara checks the cameras to find a black-haired and blue-eyed kid sitting at the computer that matches the IP address for the Google search history. Then rewinds the cameras, from the time the kid sat at the computer to the time to when he came in the library entrance; she picks through city surveillance footage until she sees the kid falling face-first through a Lazarus-green portal into an alley.
Welp.
(Cue the batkids frantically paging through Batman's thick binder of "What-If" scenarios, trying to find the "Dimensional Travelling" section before Bruce's adoption senses start tingling.)
I'm loving this new trend of people going to zoos and participating in animal enrichment. We use to observe large exotic animals for our entertainment, but the fact is that we are now trying to make ourselves equally as entertaining for them. It's interactive, completely parpicipatory and I would argue that eventually someone's gonna come up with something new enough that it expand ethologists understanding about how some animals think, problem solve, communicate and feel and I think its fantastic.
Can I just say what a delight it is, after all those dark & gritty & depressing DC movies, to see a superman that's actually likeable? And it's a movie that doesn't rehash the whole origin story and actually gives us something fresh? And it's fun to watch??
Some highlights below the cut:
- the Justice Gang fighting an interdimensional horror in the background while Clark has a heart-to-heart with Lois. ("shouldn't you help?" "nah they've got it")
- Krypto. Such a dog! In the worst and the best way. Get the toy!
- Mr Terrific all exasperated "they're 3D, not circles!"
- related, the UFO thing being "pretty intuitive to steer" cue Lois crashing through the treetops
- steering it with a dog on her lap isn't easy okay
- Krypto is just the bestest boy
- kinda wholesome in an evil way, Luthor's employees celebrating after beating superman. I think I saw a high-five?
- that whole 'I can beat superman because I obsessively studied his every fighting move' was kinda cool ngl
- a whole freaking mini-dimension for Lex to stash political prisoners (and ex-girlfriends!)
- selfies with a secret purpose! You go girl!
- Green Lantern's giant flip-off during the fight in - uh, forgot the name of the country, it sounds like Barovia
- on the subject of the Justice Gang, just... The 'sponsored by', their whole vibe, and especially Hawkgirl's moment in the sun haha "superman doesn't kill"
