it's a doggy dog world

i could get her to like chumbawamba. i think it’s obvious that she would like the “country western” versions of the songs from tubthumper (amnesia mini-album), and that she would like tubthumping itself, although she might be put off by the scary baby on the cover. i think she would enjoy the variety of sounds in the revengers tragedy soundtrack although i’m not sure if she would be into it as immediately as she would like the other things i mentioned. i think she would like repeating “UP AND DOWN, UP AND DOWN, ‘TIL THEY’RE CLEAN AND SPARKLY” from the beginning of “a slavish duke is baser than his slave” and it would annoy other people. she might also like the drama of the revenger’s tragedy. also, when i was a kid, the names “tubthumping” and “tubthumper” always made me think of some kind of creature thrashing in a bathtub before my mom explained that it probably referred to people drumming on plastic tubs. and she probably thrashed in there at least once
