you know, i used to see a lot of girls doing tgirl tummy tuesday, and then the guys who can't stand for women to have anything started dogpiling to turn it into trans tummy tuesday, and when transfems pointed this out we got called a bunch of mean shrill overly serious harpylike killjoys, and wouldn't you know it? now that the girls have stopped doing it i don't see anyone else still doing it either. almost as if the motivating factor wasn't an innocent desire to "just join in" and how dare you be so mean as to say otherwise, but rather that some of you fucking assholes can't stand to see trans women have anything for ourselves. every single thing that is ours has to either be broadened to be for All trans people or All queer people, or otherwise it has to be condemned as problematic and gross and shunned for the sake of The Community. because the indescribable fragility of the misogynist contingent amongst trans people means there is nothing too small and too frivolous that it is not worth prying out of the girls' hands. make her share, teacher, i want THAT toy. make her give it

im literally so. oughhh. im so excited that i get to be a girl. im so excited that i get to be A Girl. likee. my whole life. every time i witnessed certain displays of femininity. and there was this longing. this self loathing. ill never be able to understand or achieve that. thats not for me. im probably not even trans enough. its just many many singular instances of deep longing. its soo. ooh wow. just. being able to finally be girly. and cute. and. and give folks cuteness aggression. and live and laugh and love. i mean i experienced emotions before but now i take such joy in them. in everything i experience. even when its bad i still relish the experience of getting to know every shade. it makes me feel well traveled. i have such a brighter disposition on the world. joy is addictive and its always within reach. i get to be a girl. i really feel like im Here. even without voice training. i get so many compliments on my voice. thats really the only thing left at least externally that people who arent bedding me will observe of me that i dont feel fully Here on. and still people enjoy my voice. how its so soft. my voice is soft.. i still dont love it but if folks will say that about it then im happy enough. and im certainly so very incredibly happy with everything else about my transition. just. everything. my face my hair my clothes my mannerisms the effect i have on others. i say it a lot but i truly feel like i have a puppydog life. people, like just strangers wherever i go, i see it in their face, how they brighten up and become so very warm and accommodating with me. it really feels like they not only like me but they want me to like them. its such a giddy feeling to have that effect. its all i could want. it just feels so natural to be a girl. thats the crux of it is just how wonderfully natural it feels to be this girly hippie deergirl. girlyness. its just so. girlyness. it means more to me than anything. its so much fun being cute.. so much fun. just a dream

The problem with studying the deep ocean is that humans need light to look at things, the depths of the ocean are extremely dark, and what lives there is accustomed to spending most of its time in that darkness. So when we go down there with submersibles and turn on Big Lights to see, we invariably and dramatically alter what's going on, in the same way that it's generally difficult to observe the natural behaviors of terrestrial animals if you whip out a megaphone and shout HEY GUYS WHAT ARE YOU DOING at them first.

I put this in the comments but feel it needs a reblog- Check out some of Dr Edith Widder’s work on light in the deep sea! Among other things, she used the bioluminescence of stoplight fish to deduce wavelengths which most deep sea animals can’t perceive and used that to create light filters to be able to film with minimal disturbance! And that’s how we got 25 minutes of giant squid footage!!!!

also no one says it but the punchline of "trans inclusive misogyny" is almost always the implicit assumption that transfeminine people do not actually experience misogyny in our day-to-day life. thats why its considered humorous and acceptable to do, rather than just being. misogyny against women.
