I've been having a hard time with my religion lately. I feel like there's... too much to do, so much to do. But I still love my Gods. I don't do prayer as much as I should. Hell, I cant even remember the last time I did pray.
My altars are just... sitting there, haven't added to them in awhile. They just exist in my bedroom.
There are times where I question, of course there are. Why cant I believe in a single God like most people do? I believe in multiple.
I'm in a weird dead zone with my worship and religion right now and I think I'm going to take a step back from social media, moreso the religious side of it. I see things and I continue to question whether im even worth it, or i'm always doing things so wrong.
So this will be my last post for awhile. To all my friends who I've met through this, thank you for everything. For helping me when I feel like im less of anything.
Till next time,
Jade.
remember that your practice is your own, for the nth time, do not let people make you feel that you are less than or unworthy simply because you do not adhere to some of the frankly, questionable rules that they’ve set out in an attempt to turn this religion into a stiff and rigid practice that prevents you from being unique, stepping out of line, acting different, making mistakes, and just being human.
your practice is your own.
your gods appreciate you for all you’ve done, offered, and attempted.
grasp at that appreciation and direct it towards yourself.
Artemis Crash Course
Simple things to know about the Goddess Artemis
Artemis is the goddess of hunting, the wilderness, and wild animals. She is also the goddess of childbirth, and protectress of girls up to the age of marriage, as Apollo is the protector of boys. With Apollo, they were bringers of sudden death and disease, Artemis targeted women and girls, while Apollo men and boys. To add- she is also a virgin goddess, like her half- sister Athene.
She is a daughter of Zeus and Leto, and twin sister to Apollo, and half sister of many of the other Olympian Gods. While pregnant, Leto was hounded by Zeus’ wife, Hera and forced Leto to wander the world in search of safe refuge. She was the first born of the twins, and being a divine precocious child, helped Leto with the delivery of Apollo.
Some of her symbols and attributes include her bow and arrow, but she was also sometimes carrying a quiver, a pair of hunting spears, a torch, a lyre, and/or a waterjug. She was clothed in a knee-length girl’s dress or a full-length woman’s robe(chiton), with a clock, headgear(usually a crown, tiara, headband, bonnet or animal-pelt cap), and occasionally the pelt of a deer draped across her shoulders.
Artemis’ sacred animal is the deer, and she also drove a chariot drawn by a pair, and was often depicted holding or hunting a deer or with a deer-skin cape draped over her shoulders. In myth, the most celebrated of her animals was the golden-horned Cerynitian Hind which Herakles was sent to fetch as one of his Twelve Labours. (possibly a post on that in the future) The bear was also sacred., as well as a variety of water and ground birds, such as partridges, quails and guinea-fowl. Her sacred plants are the cypress tree, and the palm tree.

God Poser
okay theres this dude. Please block him
@/cryp7ik
Who's claiming to be all the male gods from all the pantheons and all the myths. He's been interacting with a whole lotta people, including my one post on how my deities talk to me through music where he claimed to have sent me a message via music (I got nothing so like. No- also. Deities can't use social media last time I checked) and me and my bestie decided to talk to him. So my friend gets a lot of messages from/is a prophet of Apollon and Artemis. They both have confirmed this dude isn't Apollon at all (not that we really needed it tbh-) and this guy decided that my friend was getting messages via Reddit??? My friend is infact not- he's also called people dumb for not believing that he is the male gods from every pantheon ever. Don't let him bully you into anything. This is stupid. Just block him
For beginners: I know this probably doesn't need to be said, but your deities MAY Influence your social media feed. Anyone saying they ARE the gods on social media is such a Fake on so many levels. Please ignore and block anyone saying things like that!
Additional Notes
At this point it's become quite clear that @/cryp7ik genuinely believes he is Apollo (and other deities) and that he is not messing around. He is showing signs of potential mental health issues and it is best if we block him, delete any interactions with him if possible, and don't fight him on this further
As much as it was nice to make fun of someone who was attention seeking, this has moved beyond that and the best course of action is to just leave him alone
Hey I saw this guy just now before seeing this post! He's in this witchcraft community thing I'm in and someone needed help with getting started on divination and he just.... Flat out told her no and then called her a hoe? Like wtf? She seemed kind of upset about it so I just told her not to listen to him and she can do whatever she wants with her body if she so chooses (I also told her she was very pretty and to not let his words affect her because she was, in fact, very pretty 😌) then gave her some advice on tarot.
It seemed really weird so I looked into his account and it seems really... Incomprehensible? But the ones I could understand were him claiming to be Apollo mostly.
Yeah, his posts are quite confusing. I would recomend talking to the community owner/mods and telling them about that situation and his blog and let them make the decision
Every post I see that mentions this guy is a little more unhinged than the last. I personally have him blocked and recommend that everyone else do the same
[ Prayer to Dionysos 🍇 ]
O Dionysos, youngest of the immortals upon great Olympus,
no one can replace you in the fiery revelries
and in the misty, drunken nights
when the world fades away, and one lives only for oneself.
You, great reborn Dio, are always with us.
Upon your dark hair, bitter as chocolate, rests a wreath,
and in your hand — a horn brimming with sweet, freshly-born wine
and ripe clusters of grapes, whose taste is endless.
Leopards and panthers lie lazily at your feet,
while nymphs caress their soft, striped pelts
and sip wine from golden goblets,
feeling safe within your divine presence.
Bacchus, youthful Dionysos, I thank you
for the gifted actors of the gleaming theatres
and for your protection within the throng.
I honor you with all my small soul,
and I learn from your tranquil wisdom
the art of enjoying this one and only life.
Heya friend! I know that both of us enjoy EPIC: The Musical, but I was wondering something earlier while listening to it. What is your opinion on its portrayal of the god(s) you worship? Do you think of it as accurate, or do you envision them as being quite different when it comes to your own beliefs, or something in between? (As always, this is coming from a place of respect and genuine curiosity!) Hope this makes sense!
hiii!
Epic the musical is great and all, so no hate to the fandom, but it's not the deities. It will never be the gods. Epic the Musical was a story. And it was a nice one to enjoy, but just like Percy Jackson, it cannot be the basis of worship. I mean lets take Zeus's depictions alone in Epic the Musical because he is the one I worship
He is shown as a major cheater and a very vengeful god. But when he is with me, he is the electric joy that consumes me during a hyper fixation. He is kind and patient. He is there when I need justice. He was there even when I was little and accidentally doing storm magic (and majorly messing shit up). He was the sense of justice that led me to protest Trump when I was a very young child and he is there when I contact my politicians to get them to fix the shit that is broken. He's never been harsh towards me, never vengeful, never awful like the way he was depicted in Epic the Musical.
I know you, so I know you don't practice witchcraft or Hellenic Polytheism, but I beg those who do to see the difference between stories and our actual gods
Artemis
I sing of Artemis, whose shafts are of gold, who cheers on the hounds, the pure maiden, shooter of stags, who delights in archery, own sister to Apollo with the golden sword. Over the shadowy hills and windy peaks she draws her golden bow, rejoicing in the chase, and sends out grievous shafts. The tops of the high mountains tremble and the tangled wood echoes awesomely with the outcry of beasts: earth quakes and the sea also where fishes shoal. But the goddess with a bold heart turns every way destroying the race of wild beasts: and when she is satisfied and has cheered her heart, this huntress who delights in arrows slackens her supple bow and goes to the great house of her dear brother Phoebus Apollo, to the rich land of Delphi, there to order the lovely dance of the Muses and Graces. There she hangs up her curved bow and her arrows, and heads and leads the dances, gracefully arrayed, while all they utter their heavenly voice, singing how neat-ankled Leto bare children supreme among the immortals both in thought and in deed.
Hail to you, children of Zeus and rich-haired Leto! And now I will remember you and another song also.

Prayer for Aphrodite
Hail Aphrodite,
The pearl of Cyprus,
She who was born from the seafoam,
She who has given everyone,
mortal or inmortal,
love,
She who grants upon us
Confidence and beauty,
Fury and passion,
Need and desire,
Laughter and love,
And for that, we thank you, Lady Aphrodite,
For gifting us with all these things, we praise, worship, and honor you.
Hail Aphrodite.
(This is my first time writing a prayer, and English is my third language, I apologize if thrre are grammar mistakes or anything like that)
Hellenism and Menstruation
I see, pretty often, people thinking they're not allowed to worship or pray when they're on their period, and since I'm currently on mine, I figured I'd clear this up a little, especially for new worshippers who may not know yet.
It's a common misconception that being on your period makes you dirty, unclean, and that you shouldn't pray during this time. I've even seen people claim that it's miasma.
These ideas are ancient and from a very misogynistic society. Not only that, but they didn't have the same hygiene practices and products we do today. So back then, women, more commonly poorer women, would likely just free bleed at home, which, as you can imagine, was messy.
Today, we have better hygiene practices, products, and we know how things like diseases transmit.
As long as you are clean and hygienic, it's fine. It's why we wash our hands and faces before we touch the altar or pray, we just have to be clean and presentable.
As long as you're not somehow getting blood on the altar, it's okay.
To add to this, I've even seen some sources that say that our periods are sacred, powerful, and connect us to Lady Artemis, as it is feminine (if you are transmasc, this part doesn't have to apply to you 🫶), and like the phases of the moon, it is a monthly cycle.
I've seen that this time of the month is a time for us to rest, and that bleeding is sometimes seen as the body's way of naturally cleansing itself.
I do not believe that you're "not allowed" to pray if you are menstruating. I believe that this is a time where you are encouraged to rest and take care of yourself, especially if your periods are particularly painful.
I always take this time to rest and take a break from my practice, not because I think I'm not allowed, or like it's misasmic, but because I always feel gross on my periods.
I'm hot, I sweat much more than the average person, I'm lethargic, I sometimes don't have the energy to change my clothes, I get nauseous, I get easily irritated which to me, isn't the right headspace for deity worship. But this is personal, so if you were blessed with non-painful periods and you can function on them, you do what feels best for you.
The closest I got to worship today was thinking of Asclepius as I took pain meds, and that's okay.
And if you're new and coming from a Christian background, no, the gods will not be mad at you if you take a break. They've been around for forever, they've seen humanity grow and evolve. They've seen us at our lowest moments, and for some people that includes being hunched over in pain or laying in bed all day because you're on your period.
They will understand, no one will get mad at you for a bodily function that's out of your control. It is pretty hard to anger a god unless you're actively defying or disrespecting them, or unless you've murdered someone in cold blood.
You're fine. You'll be okay.
It’s also a beautiful time to connect with Lady Rhea! being Lady of (menstrual) flow, comfort and ease, we are almost being called to a primordial wisdom that comes within our bodies.
☽☾ The Huntress ☽☾
This is a devotional piece I drew for my beloved goddess Lady Artemis ! I'm really happy with the outcome even though I wish I could've done more with the background :/ but also this is the first fully colored piece I've done in a while and I'm glad I could do a more complicated one for my lady ! I hope she likes it , and you do too I hope <3
ALSO please cut me some slack on the rendering of the dog , I never draw animals and fully color them even less so , but I tried my best .
The little "print" on her clothing is supposed to be cypress branches & the white spots on her shoulders & cheeks are referencing the white spots of fawns ! The fur around her shoulders is from a bear and the bandages are stained with Ichor , the golden blood of the gods ( hunting isn't an easy job after all )
This piece was heavily inspired by one of my favorite paintings called " Diana the Huntress " by Gaston Casimir Saint-Pierre which I used as a reference :3
( the divider was made by me ♡ )
Hello everyone!
Time for my monthly post.
So my practice has been dwindling, and I'm to blame for that.
I'm still worshipping Lord Dionysos, but maybe just not actively? If that makes sense. I still have an altar and pray!
I still love my Gods, through and through!! It's just been a very difficult time for me these past months, so I've been taking time to myself.
I have however, begun doing research on angels as well!! I did a whole birth chart thing and decided to go with the one who was with me when I was born which happens to be Archangel Uriel! I will possibly make another blog devoted to my angel worship, thats still a maybe though, we'll see.
Anyway, thats been life lately, if you care!
I'll see you next month for that monthly update post 🫡
By the way if you think the gods would even remotely like your "AI art offerings" you're wrong and I want you nowhere near me and I hope you realise what you're doing to both the environment and the artists you're stealing from. Learning art as a skill is free. If you feel guilty, good. Do something about your guilt.

the helpol community genuinely needs to chill the fuck out.
you don’t need money to worship
you don’t always need to be perfect
you can talk to the gods whenever you want
you can believe what you want to believe
you can worship however you want to worship
stop policing the practice of others. it’s not fun, it doesn’t make you smart, it just makes you mean.
