You can't come onto someone's blog insulting their religion then call them a bigot for making fun of yours in response btw
THE BEAUTY OF OMNISM IS THAT YOU CAN BE A CHRISTIAN, A JEW, A MUSLIM, A HINDU, A BUDDHIST, A PAGAN, AN ATHEIST, AN AGNOSTIC OR A HUMANIST ,BUT OMNISM FREES YOU TO ACCEPT YOUR RELIGIOUS OR PHILOSOPHICAL BELIEFS IN A PLURALISTIC AND UNIVERSALISTIC WAY AND TO COEXIST PEACEFULLY WITH OTHERS
Omnism is a beautiful and profoundly inclusive philosophy. By recognizing that no single tradition holds a monopoly on truth, it allows individuals to embrace the universal threads connecting all faiths—such as love, compassion, and interconnectedness—while still honoring their personal or cultural heritage.
Here is how omnism beautifully reframes spiritual and philosophical coexistence (1)Universal Truths: It encourages extracting wisdom from diverse texts and practices, viewing them as different lenses through which humanity experiences the same fundamental truths. (2)Cultural Preservation: You can fully participate in the rituals, holidays, and communities of a specific religion (like Judaism, Christianity, or Islam) without feeling bound by exclusivity or dogma. (3)Radical Tolerance: Because all beliefs are viewed as valid, subjective expressions of the human search for meaning, it leaves no room for religious superiority or conflict. (4) Philosophical Harmony: It bridges the gap between theism and secularism, allowing atheists, agnostics, and humanists to appreciate the spiritual and moral dimensions of religion without subscribing to the supernatural.
ALTERNATE VERSION
Omnism is the philosophical and theological position that all religions and philosophies contain varying degrees of truth. It fosters a pluralistic, universalistic mindset that empowers people to find wisdom across diverse paths, promoting peaceful coexistence and inclusivity.
Rooted in the idea that no single tradition has a monopoly on spiritual reality, omnism offers several unique perspectives (1)Universal Truth: It recognizes that core values like love, compassion, and the Golden Rule echo across almost all faiths. (2)Individual Journey: Rather than requiring you to practice every religion, it encourages appreciating the diverse ways humans seek spiritual understanding. (3)Philosophical Harmony: It bridges religious and secular divides, allowing humanists, atheists, agnostics, and the religious to learn from one another's philosophies.

AXIOM OF FAITH: GOD OR REALITY ARE ULTIMATELY INEFFABLE; THEREFORE, OMNISM MAKES "ORTHODOXY" A MISNOMER BECAUSE THERE ARE NO TRULY ORTHODOX RELIGIONS OR CHURCHES.
This premise aligns with apophatic theology and omnism. Because the ultimate nature of God or reality is ineffable and beyond human language, any claim to absolute "orthodoxy" by a single religion is untenable. All religious doctrines are merely limited, human interpretations of an infinite, unknowable mystery.
ADVENTURES IN OMNISM (1)The Inadequacy of Dogma: If ultimate reality cannot be captured by the human mind, then "orthodoxy" (literally meaning "correct belief" or "right teaching") is a misnomer. No finite set of rules or words can fully encapsulate an infinite reality. (2)The Omnist Viewpoint: Omnism argues that all religions contain varying fragments of truth. Instead of any single church holding a monopoly on truth, every spiritual path represents a different language or cultural lens attempting to describe the exact same ineffable source. (3)Apophatic Echoes in Traditional Faiths: The idea that God is indescribable is already present in mainstream traditions. For example, the apophatic tradition (or "negative theology") in Orthodox Christianity maintains that God's essence is entirely transcendent and beyond human comprehension.
Therefore, viewing all churches as attempts to map the unmappable fundamentally dissolves the rigidity of orthodoxy in favor of universal spiritual exploration.
BONUS MATERIAL Kant's Noumena: Immanuel Kant argued that humans can only perceive the world as it appears to our senses (phenomena). The true, underlying nature of reality (noumena) remains forever beyond our direct comprehension.
Omnism and apophatic theology intersect in their shared emphasis on the limits of human understanding. While omnism holds that all religions contain fragments of a common truth, apophatic theology asserts that the Divine infinitely transcends all human concepts and descriptions. Together, they embrace a universal, unknowable mystery.

FINDING A SPIRITUAL PATH: OMNISM & HOLINESS & IMPERFECTION
Omnism is the belief that all religions and spiritual paths possess elements of truth. Rather than having a single codified dogma, an Omnist's view of holiness and imperfection is a synthesis of world philosophies and religions that frames the human condition as a purposeful and beautiful process of growth.
Core Omnist Perspectives (1)Holiness as Unity and Wholeness: Omnism embraces the Eastern philosophical concept of non-dualism and the Western mystical idea that all spiritual paths trace back to a single source of sacred truth (like God, Nirvana, or the Tao). Holiness, therefore, is not about flawless rule-following, but about aligning oneself with this universal, transcendent love and interconnectedness. (2)The Necessity of Imperfection: Just as Omnists recognize that no single religion holds a monopoly on the truth, they also believe that no single human is flawless. Imperfection is not seen as a moral failure, but as a necessary catalyst for spiritual evolution. Without limitations, humans would not possess the capacity to learn, forgive, or practice compassion. (3)The Unity of the Sacred and the Profane: Omnism often pulls from Pantheism (the belief that the universe is a manifestation of the divine) and Panentheism (the belief that the divine is greater than the universe). Because every aspect of existence contains a piece of spiritual truth, the "imperfect" physical world is inherently intertwined with the "holy."
How They Intersect
In the broader Omnist framework, human imperfection acts as the "canvas" for holiness. Spiritual growth and the realization of truth are achieved by acknowledging human limitations and striving for universal wisdom. It is through making mistakes and interacting with the diverse, flawed world that a person truly experiences grace and enlightenment.

Friendly reminder that I'm an omnist, but also (folk) catholic. I grew up with it, and it brings me peace and joy.
I am anti clergy as a concept, because the christian church has ALL of the issues. I'm aware. And I'm not gonna be preachy about my faith, so dw.
What brings me happiness is not universal for others, my faith is my own and I'm not gonna make it everyone's problem.
I will sometimes reblog catholic things that make me happy, and they will be tagged as "catholic", so you can filter it.
I'm queer, kinky, poly, a slut. I'm pro-choice, I'm pro "Jesus would hate the church", and I love Jews more than I hate nazis. Speaking of which: For my Jewish moots, I'll write G-d like this <- because I think that'd be polite.
I am first and foremost omnist, so I'm open to learn about every faith there is. You wanna tell me how cool your religion is and how much joy it brings you? Let's hear it! *^* I'm a nosy lil shit!
Okay, that's all. Kbai!
(Oh, and Lucifer and Satan get hugs because they need 'em. 😬 Imagine getting the blame for everything that went wrong ever, that's gotta hurt.)
Omnism and Sri Ramakrishna: He was a 19th-century Indian mystic whose philosophy strongly aligns with omnism. His central message was that all world religions are valid, complementary paths to the same ultimate reality.
His omnistic philosophy is defined by two core principles: 1)The Harmony of Religions: Ramakrishna famously stated, "As many faiths, so many paths." He rigorously practiced the spiritual disciplines of different traditions—including various sects of Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity—and concluded that they all lead to God-consciousness. 2)Divinization of Humanity: He taught that the Divine exists in everything and everyone. His famous doctrine, "Jiva is Shiva" (every living being is God), reflects the omnistic view that the sacred transcends any single religious institution and unites all things.
This synthesis of universal truths inspired the creation of the Ramakrishna Math and the broader teachings spread globally by his disciple, Swami Vivekananda. Sources: Wikipedia, Belur Math & Reema Sen, Medium
