anywho i’m back

… turns out i wasn’t back LMAO

i have been struggling in my practice. plain and simple. not because the gods are less present in my life, not because of anything religious, but because life got actually insane and i stopped making forward progress. let’s talk about it!

to me, life comes before worship. not because i don’t value my relationships with the divine —i still have my altar, i still shoot quick prayers— but because if i’m not surviving i do not have the mental capacity to worship, and honestly that’s where i’ve been. i love the gods, i love spirituality, i love learning about them and about myself through them, but sometimes it’s just too much. because of this, i took a HUGE step back from most worship. i stopped wearing most of my devotional jewelry, i stopped praying at my altar, i stopped looking for signs and symbols in my patrons domains, and honestly, it sucked! it sucked so so hard! but i needed to take care of my mental health.

now that it’s warming up and life is getting less… ahhhh i’m slowly but surely working my way back into it. feeling their presence, praying more often, devoting more time and activity. honestly im so happy to be back, and want to rush into it head first, but i also know thats simply not sustainable. so here i am, pacing myself, and doing it the right way so i can stay actively practicing longer.

all this rambling is to say, it’s ok to take breaks. it’s ok to need to pause for a bit. the gods will be there waiting for you when you get back, i promise <3
