I did not know Metzger was a X-men villain, but now it makes sense why Jean was in the movie.

I've heard two theories as to why Ned remembered Peter after one handshake: 1: Dr. Strange's memory spell didn't fully work on Ned 'cause he has magical powers too, which we saw in No Way Home. 2: When Ned was hit with Jean's mind-bomb, it weakened the memory spell.
