Oh for sure, they're still around. There has been a decline in international tourism in DC ever since Trump took office and the National Guard showed up, but the decline is relatively small and basically just took the level of international tourism from "very high" down to "high." What's interesting is that international tourism actually dropped less here last year than it did nationwide, probably because foreign tourists are generally nervous about entering the US but see a DC trip as more worth the risk than a lot of other tourist attractions.

I meant to respond to this a while ago telling people to hold their nose and vote for Steyer, but too late now I guess. California Democrats stay losing.

But this order might just be a consequence of the part of the country I was in, I'm guessing the coastal regions in the north would have relatively more Spanish and less Amazigh.

Tumblr is the least-bad social media website, and it's just separated enough from all of the others to allow me space for talking shit and having fun without having my full name and job title attached to every statement. “Backrooms” (2026) hits that same balance, coming close enough to be easily understood without ever going over the edge into over-explaining. Tempting you with revelation but never quite letting you have it. He took the movie’s lore in a very different direction than his webseries, and he managed to reimagine it in a surreal and harrowing way that made the explanation clear without ever relying too much on exposition to tell the audience what’s going on. It’s such a refreshing reboot for a creepypasta mythos that fandom.com had long ago turned into a lame SCP knock-off. 8/10
