The author always knows how to write with such delicacy about 'Hikaru', he treats 'Hikaru' with so much love, the absolutely incredible and gentle vision he has of monsters says exactly everything we need to know about this story. It explains why this is a story of hope and not a "doomed yaoi" as some insist on saying on TikTok, as if they weren't capable of reading the rich text that this manga brings every day. Once again: this is NOT a story of humans with humans or of humans who love humans. This is the story of a monster who loves a human and a human who loves that monster back, in a way that is completely indescribable by the standards we know. And this chapter marks that like never before: Yoshiki, firm, determined, choosing 'Hikaru' above all else, saying goodbye to his family because he had already decided chapters ago: his home would be wherever 'Hikaru' was! Then he arrives confident and certain of what he wants: he wants to run to 'Hikaru', hold him, tell 'Hikaru' that he is no longer afraid. THE SMILE! The sincere, true smile of profound contentment that Yoshiki brings with him in that cover art! The small tear that escapes from 'Hikaru's' eye in his true form... This story is about that.
