What is Character Development in the 90's anime look like?

Character Development that actually sticks throughout the series and not just one episode, one arc, or one season.

From Episode 1 to 200.

From Dark Kingdom Arc to StarS Arc

From Sailor Moon Classic to Sailor Moon StarS

Not a lesson learned and then forgotten later on.

So what is actual Character Development in the 90's anime?

I will continue to ask this because I want a solid answer with proof.

Not just saying "Oh they got Character Development in the 90's anime than the Manga" with no evidence backing your claim.

Actual Episodes and Pics where the character development is visible and sticks.

Like tears and hugs fucking everywhere! 

Usagi is running towards the girls and they are running towards her. 

Look at Mina and Hotaru!

They are telling her how they miss her, how her strength kept calling to them and how she did it.  Like they are absolutely proud of her and knew she could do it. How she’s so freaking happy to have her family back.. 

Meanwhile in the 90′s anime…. 

Let’s stand in a circle in the air while she’s naked and have the only person she runs and hugs Mamo and no one else! 

Also telling her good job and thank you.. 

Yall freaking died and all yall going to do is stand in a freaking circle and not even hug the girl who saved yall? 

Not even a group hug?? 

Meanwhile Princess Serenity in the 90′s anime had zero personality ( which I have talked about before)  aside from recklessly jumping in the air when Beryl attacked trying to be with Endymion which got her killed .. 

I have to talk about this for a moment for ALL the people who want it get in Manga/Crystal Serenity neck for commiting sucide and not once said nothing about this. 

Meticlia blows him away 

Which khocks her to ground

He tells her to stay back  because he knew that it was pretty much over for him and maybe still want to protect her but does she listen? 

She runs and jumps to be with him... 

and both got hit with Metallia blast and killing them. 

Which is still a Romeo and Juliet vibe anyway but it seem like this ok because they took away her killing herself but you still got her acting recklessly by jumping to him to be with him. Knowing that both of them was about to get killed...  

Which pretty much summed up to be

“ I don’t care if I die as long as I die with you.”  

But that’s not seen as being selfish but romantic meanwhile Manga/Crystal Serenity is seen as selfish 

Also with the Manga and Crystal I think at this point I think the senshi was killed so by the time Endymion dies protecting her and she takes the sword and kills herself which she knows everyone she loves minus her Mom is gone. Everything she have loved and known is gone in one night. 

With the 90′s anime it shown that the Senshi attacked Metallia which their attacks fails and they all got killed by Metallia with one blow. But due to the fact the 90′s anime really fail to show any interaction between PS and the Senshi we don’t even know they were all close aka Sisters compared the Manga and Even Crystal that shows us. ( They didn’t even show them at the ball. It was just one shot of them taking on Metallia.) So it literary can be a Employer/Employer type realtionship in the 90′s anime between PS and the Senshi. ( Which makes sense how they acted in the present but the 90′s anime has the best friendships..)   

Which would ask make sense why they was all “ Serenity is more graceful than you” because if they wasn’t close to her and she wasn’t to them they wouldn’t know her quirks and she would react. If their realtionship was more professional and not personal like it was in Manga/Crystal/ PGSM. 

So we going to sit here and railroad a grief stricken Manga/Crystal Serenity for killing herself after her whole world has fell apart in front of her eyes who felt like that was her only option but not say nothing about 90′s Serenity which yes her world was falling apart as well but who freaking jumped off the balcony to be with him and got herself killed?

 I aint touching PGSM Princess Serenity lol 

I don't know why but when every single time someone says on the line " Oh Crystals was about the romance while the 90's anime was about the " friendships" I side eye.

The friendships are in the manga and crystal. Just because you don't have them saying mean things to Usagi or each other doesn't mean the friendships are not there.

Also the 90's anime don't have the best version of the girl's friendships.

PGSM do.

To the point that the real testament to that is the fact the five main girls now who are now women who played the Sailor Senshi are still friends( well sisters) to this day. 20 years after PGSM premiered.

Someone Birthday? They together

Someone Getting Married? They together

Someone having a baby? They together

Someone doing a new project? They supporting

Something dealing with Sailor Moon ( Museum etc) They are hanging out.

So

These girls are friends to each other.

They behave like friends.

They behave like they love to be around each other and love each other.

They go to bat for each other.

Everyone is so nice to each other.

Why people act like there is no real friendship between them in the manga while they say in the 90's anime there is?

Why they act like Usagi treat them like they just are her " ladies in waiting" and not the girls that she would go to the ends of the universe to get back?

That they act like these girls have no choice in " protecting" her and they are not honestly do it because she would do the same thing for all of them?

Or dare to say that Manga and Crystal are about the romance while the 90s anime is about the friendships.

Like I am missing something?

Because sometimes in the 90's anime, I have to question do they even like her let alone are friends with her.

Its almost like they become " friends" with her but are friends with each other but not her.

Calling a interstellar conflict where

The main character have to save her friends and the world from a senshi who is just as powerful as she is. A senshi who was blowing up planets before she came to earth.

Who has been breaking her down piece by piece by systemically killing her friends starting with the love of her life and going down the pipeline of her friends.

For that person to promise girls from different planets who want to be a senshi, powers to be senshi if they get their star seeds but was never going to go through with that promise. ( That's the real tragedy but yall to focus of them being only there for two seconds to realized they was just pawns anyway.)

Speaking of Star Seeds, to find out they are pretty much the soul of a person where if they are taken, the body turns into dust.

To travel to ends of the universe along with the new allies she found to get her friends back.

Those said allies gave up their lives for her in for order to get her friends back.

Have to fight the corpses of those said friends and destroy them since their Star Seeds are not in their body anymore

To finding out the person who is fucking with you is working for the entity who have been gunning for you and your power ever since you come into your power. Hell, Ever since you were born the first time from the place all stars are born.

To realize the enemies you fought before an extension of that entity which yall are essentially kin to each other.

To throwing yourself into where Stars are born to cleanse that place from the darkness and get your friends back.

To find out you are ever going to be in a constant battle with that entity since they represent dark and you represent light which one need the other. With her probably have to see her friends and family die again.

as basic??

Also lets not forget, the main character feels like she's at FAULT for everything happening to her friends and the world because not only the power that she didn't ask for in the beginning but for her whole freaking existence.

But that is basic...
