First off, the fact that you have to have already been served an eviction notice to access your funds instead of accessing it to stop that eviction notice from ever arriving is stupid.

Second, the fact that most eviction notices give you a very short time, if any at all, to rectify whatever the issue is in order to not be evicted, so having to wait for some underpaid public servant to go through all your paperwork and then wait for a check to be mailed to you is practically guaranteeing the hardship withdrawal will not arrive in time to save you.

Third, it's frustrating and humiliating being subjected to nitpicky questions like "I notice the amount requested is less than the total amount of your rent" when "I was able to pay all but this $300 of my rent" is fairly obvious AND the exact amount you requested is already the amount listed as past due on the eviction notice.

Third, did I mention it's my own damn money?! It's not like I'm filling out forms for a loan or a payday advance or anything like that. This is the song and dance I'm required to go through to access my Own Damn Money in my own damn retirement account.

Which is the idea that an actor doing/saying something problematic on Twitter should be some kind of "wake up call" for fans of a character that actor plays to rethink their emotional investment in the character, and the implication that continuing to be a fan of the character is tantamount to being part of a cult.

Like...tell me you really don't understand the difference between fiction and reality without telling me! You're all the way down the purity culture rabbit hole, but you think I'm in a cult?
