Brief storytime:
In undergrad, I took Judo for a PE credit, and after the final, the teacher went, "Who wants to beat the hell out of each other?"
Anyway, I choked out a guy twice my size using his shirt collar and my elbows, and he refused to tap out until he nearly passed out. Then he high-fived me.
It was awesome.
I worked full-time on-campus, to the next day, I'm in my office in my work clothes. It was May, so I was in a short sleeve dress.
My boss walked in, stopped short, and looked at me for a long moment. "...Did something happen last night?" She was especially looking at my upper arms.
I looked at my upper arms. Perfect finger bruises. I also had bruises on both wrists and several small scabs from getting scuffed up on the mat.
"Oh! Judo final last night turned into a sparring session."
"Oh, good!" She stepped towards her office, then stopped and backed up. "I just want you to know I didn't ask if it was Sean because if he'd done anything that led to that, you'd be calling me from jail. Also, I know Sean would never do that. But..."
"Oh, no, no. I get it."

Sean made a tweet about having five cheeses in the fridge, and the Europeans found him. It is fascinating. One person joked it was only different types of cheddar (what's with the cheddar hate) and the rest are talking about "flavorless vacuum sealed cheese blocks" (what???) and accusing him of only keep spray cheese (first of all, no, but also, IN THE FRIDGE????)
It's sliced cheddar, havarti, and swiss, a wedge of parmesan, and American slices if you're curious.
But yeah, Europeans are funny about this. Do you not get cheese blocks in parts of Europe? Is it not sold that way? I think that's the one I'm stuck on the most. I thought this:
was a pretty common way to package cheese, but again, I'm in the US and don't pretend to know everything about anyone else's cheese set up.
Anyway, I looked at Wal-Mart's website today to see exactly how many cheese styles are available to order, and I have come up with the following list:

slices
blocks
bricks
shredded

crumbled

liquid

regular wheels
tiny wheels
with fruit on the lid for mixing

cracker-sized
Also, I cannot stress enough that what is available at the Wal-Mart is the level of entry for cheese options. I can get cheese at the gas station. I can get it from fancier grocery stores. I can get it from a local dairy. I can get it from a fancy cheese shop.
