When I was a kid I thought Gene Wilder was Oscar Wilde's son. This is because I was stupid.
That's kind of why they exist actually

pride flag for nonbinary asexual aromantic individuals that just says "not gonna do all that"

君たちはどう生きるか (THE BOY AND THE HERON) 2023 | Hayao Miyazaki
This whole project was heavily inspired by the work of Lina Shamoon/ Mirrors by Lina (website here, check out her very cool and much higher quality work). My spin on things is definitely not made as well as her stuff, but I'm still loving the effect.
This thing is still bringing me a great deal of joy. It's usually the last thing I see on my way out of the house in the morning and it's very good.
Oscar Isaac talking about Poe's sexuality in interviews since 2015
so i went to grab some timmies at work this morning and tripped over a film set. Nothing like existing in the hottest day of 2026 and watching film extras forced to wear parkas to walk amid fake snow drifts and pretend it's December in June.
(I gather it was for a show called Off Campus; raise your hand if you've heard of it)
anyway, poll time:
how often does your workplace/school double as a film set?
i work in the tv/film industry so it's all day, every day
quite often; i live in BC/PNW so it's x-files/supernatural all the way down
quite often; LA/SoCal is a giant film set and I'm just part of it
quite often; geographically not BC or LA/California
not often, but it has happened in the past
not specifically my workplace/school, but close enough that I decided it counts
I have never seen my workplace/school as the backdrop of a TV show or film
this poll is geographically weighted in favour of the Pacific coast (vanilla)

not a caller not a texter but a secret third thing
don’t contact me. ever
I remember when I was younger, anytime I watched a movie where the characters have to kill a scary monster/alien, I always thought the act of killing it was intended to be part of the horror. Like there’s this amazing creature that we’ve never seen before, and maybe under different circumstances we could’ve coexisted with it, but it’s trying to attack you and you have to defend yourself, but by destroying it you also destroy the ability to ever understand it and that’s sad and is supposed to make you feel conflicted.
It was not until well into my adulthood that I realized most people do not have complicated feelings about movies where people have to kill a scary alien monster, nor is that necessarily meant to be part of the narrative (unless it very obviously is). They just want the scary thing to die because it’s scary. I don’t have a real conclusion to this I just started thinking about it for some reason.
1. This reply is two words and they managed to misspell both of then
2. Yeah. Duh.
Look if I’m addicted to tumblr so be it bc at least I’m not addicted to tiktok

Does anyone else get a little excited when you're reading and come across a word you don't know and you get to look it up and add it to your vocabulary pile? weehoo! a little treat for me, a little exotic snack
I've gone. Not one for goodbyes, I thought it best to slip out quietly. Love to you all, Giles.
Rest in peace, Anthony Stewart Head (1954 – 2026)
