I guess you and I will both be finding out at the same time because i've never sat and thought about my aesthetic there long enough, i just have vivid daydreams about it so let's see how well i can translate it to pictures:

Leading a double triple life (while already being a shifter) is not for the weak.

My life at home; before Jude and the Court, is very.. fae-coded(?)— I work part-time as a bard and waitress at a tavern and my beloved pet is a wolf lol, go figure. One more thing is that i adore cooking and baking in that DR which links to my specialty as an alchemist.

Then, a total 180° flip from the calm and cozy life is when i'm on missions with the Court of Shadows. I can't put a single label on it here because we're either nobodies— literal shadows, or anybody— having to pretend and blend in with folk from strange courts to get what we need.

And finally, possibly my favorite life among all 3, is when I'm visiting at the High Court. As good friends(*cough*) and trusted advisors of the High King and his Seneschal, the members of CoS are considered honorary guests. My time is spent there in meeting rooms plotting or in great halls partying, or between the two flirting with the annoyingly handsome shadow who won't leave my side smh(I'm exactly where i want to be). Very fancy shmancy i love it.

you cannot think your way into a shift.

all the theories, the information, the physics and the metaphysics and all—that’s so fun, yes, and so wonderful, but you can’t think your way into a shift.

there is nothing in the world that will teach you to shift. no amount of knowledge of physics, philosophy, or spirituality will teach you. it’s not in neville’s book, not in any religious book, not even in the shifting community itself.

there’s no step by step, full proof method. there’s nothing to learn from the outside.

so give up that search. accept it. accept that this is you. it’s always been about you and within you.

one of my favorite things regarding shifting is how our brain works and organizes memories coming from different realities.

you can be convinced you haven't shifted yet, but it's undeniable how a certain smell, a place, a landscape, a line someone says, or something we're eating (etc.), can immediately remind us of a specific moment from our dr.

or when you're watching the movie/tv series or reading the book you're shifting to, and you unconsciously think, "I was there. I remember it perfectly."

how can this not be the ultimate proof that we have already shifted, already lived, and felt all of the emotions and sensations that we could've experienced only in an alternate dimension?

we shouldn't beat ourselves up just because apparently "we haven't shifted yet." what do you mean we haven't? we certainly did, tons of times. maybe we didn't open our eyes, and consciously live it. but, our subconscious already knows everything about it and remembers it all.

your ability is the same, so if you scripted that you can shift back with just one word, you can manifest that same ease right now.
