i love the headcanon that, while richie is extremely aware of his huge crush on eddie, eddie also very clearly has a crush on richie but is like... completely oblivious to it. like he climbs on top of richie in the hammock and eddie feels his entire face turn red, his heartbeat speeding up, and he can't stop smiling and he just thinks "why does it feel like this the happiest i've ever been??? i guess richie and I must just be really great pals"

See this is why I like and respect Bill Skarsgard. He's playing a scary character, but as soon as the cameras stop rolling he's all friendly and encouraging with his child costars. There's no bullshit "method acting" where he just keeps acting like a creep to "stay in character". He's an actor. He gets into and out of his role as needed, because that's what an actor is supposed to do. And he's getting all the kids psyched up in a fun and encouraging way. That fuckhead Jared Leto could learn a thing or two about playing a scary clown.

the only suitable explanation for it ch2 is that it’s actually a movie bill wrote and stan watched the whole thing in total silence and then immediately tried to strangle bill to death

“i was trying to make a point about how none of us could have been happy without each other!!!” bill yells as eddie tackles him while screaming “I MARRIED MY FUCKING MOTHER????”

bill has to pay for his sins by hugging and comforting richie while eddie and stan watch him threateningly like “bill this better be the best hug you ever give”

also all this happens at the official premiere and the next day all the news stories about it are just “bill denbrough gets the shit kicked out of him by richie tozier’s husband and accountant at the premiere of his own movie”

And the utterly ironic thing is I’ve seen repeated tumblr posts of that iconic photo absolutely slagging the shit out of Peter Norman as “lol white guy so uncomfortable”   “Why the fuck isn’t he supporting them”, etc etc.

As an Australian this post surprised me. I knew none of the above.

People need to learn this shit so they can emulate it - this is what it means to stand in solidarity with people; it tends to be a difficult, quiet thing that costs you, and yet it’s the right thing to do.
