Why the fuck is everyone acting like having indoor cats is some kind of cruelty in the last 5 years? Yeah sure, the two super shy and terrified cats need to be on a farm, and until that home suddenly appears they'll stay at the shelter.
The kitten they found almost dead in Romania, yeah sure, the shelter there is a better home than mine.
No, you only can adopt a cat without a garden or letting them roam freely if they're sick. Of course. Because all I am is a care home. Doesn't matter that I cared for my terminally ill cat for the last year and for once I want at least a chance for some time without worrying.
We've adopted 4 young cats in the last 20 years and none of them was restless at home because they got bored.
My brother had even more cats, and, also, none of them grew restless inside.
I understand that trying to keep a cat inside that grew up on a farm is a bad idea most of the times.
But I've never had an indoor cat that wasn't happy. Can we please go back to understanding that being an indoor cat in a nice flat with lots of places to climb and run is better than living in a shelter?!
