My name is Millie. I live with my girlfriend Audrey. We are both trans, both disabled, and both unemployed. I have been trying over the past two years to find employment and have failed at every step. We live with my parents, who occasionally offer financial help with smaller things like groceries but who we can’t ask for help with larger purchases such as medical expenses or bills. Audrey has applied for disability aid but was turned down and is currently trying to appeal her case. We have regular expenses that we can barely afford, and as such we turn to our friends online to help.  Our quality of life is poor.

Within the past few weeks multiple factors have come together to make life even harder than normal. While I’m still applying to jobs on the regular (and still being rejected on the regular), we simply don’t have the money necessary to handle our various expenses and other needs. I want to try to not only meet these expenses, but improve our general quality of life. As a result I’m setting a fundraising goal of $1000. This will allow us to handle the regular expenses as well as afford medical care and other helpful things.

Here’s what the money will be going towards:

Medication refills

Medical treatments (even clinics with sliding scale payments aren’t free)

Glasses replacement (my glasses broke last week and need to be replaced)

Storage shelves to reduce clutter

Monthly bills

Other general use purchases (groceries, cleaning supplies, lightbulbs, etc)
