okay i kind of love the fact that this is coming off as 'trust' to velma when we tell her about miranda. bc while she does have a point the wizard is also in a weird position bc like... miranda is helping darkmoor. and we ALSO want to help darkmoor. its the kind of sort-of-enemies-maybe-allies flavor that i like in particular
i think it adds another flavor too - miranda is from earth, the wizard is from earth (IF you subscribe to that concept, but we'll use it here to make things simpler)... after traveling around the spiral for so long without mention of earth, isn't it a relief to find someone just like you?
maybe thats the underlying implication...
theres also this aspect that the wizard has changed so much in their time occupying the spiral, that having someone like miranda standing by them in comparison only amplifies the changes the spiral has made to the wizard...
LOVE this piece of dialogue in particular. the ''im going to save darkmoor'' bit just slingshotted me back to my old posts where i thought about how the new earthborn would act... and one of the ideas i had was a wizard reject
NOT TO SAY THAT I THINK SHES A REJECT but its in the same vein...
COMBINED WITH MIRANDA'S GENERAL HAUGHTINESS... i definitely think this is the type of thing that the wizard would get weirdly possessive and angry about because who are you to say that YOURE going to save darkmoor... save part of the spiral? MY SPIRAL? #MYSPIRAL
i choose to believe that miranda was baiting the wizard at this point for this exact reason bc right after i feel like we got to WORK lol.
