At first, I just showed up outside of these big wooden doors. It was dark in the hall and I didn't know where I was. So, I knocked on the door. A voice answered, deep and annoyed. I heard footsteps approach, fast and heavy. The door opened, and light streamed into the hallway. I looked up "Lucifer?" I said "Where are we?" I looked around him, and he was teaching a class it seemed. There were rows of people in chairs looking at us. I was suddenly aware I was completely naked.

"Gideon?" He looked confused, but more like he was doing a tricky math problem. "Oh, you're supposed to be at the cabin." He finished. I looked up at him "did you summon me to the wrong place?" I was crossing my arms but more out of annoyance than caring I was standing naked at the door of a classroom. "Can I have some clothes?"

"Hold on," he said, handing me some things. "I'll make me come and get you." I paused at that, "You'll come and get me? You're right here." He seemed stressed, I was just standing in the room now, forgetting to care I was naked. I looked around and realized it seemed like time froze.

moving on, like usual, all the information is given on a need to know basis: Edith just immediately tells you that the Spiral Geographic Society is looking for artifacts to power the Grand Astrolabe to learn about Celestial Magic, but the portals to get to the galleries are broken and the pieces are gone. First of all, that is a LOT of information that is thrusted upon the wizard as we just got here. Imagine just pulling up to Celestia and having no idea about anything and you're just expected to care about this legendary magic? But with the new prequest, that magic is built up! Yes, the editor just tells you that the magic in Celestia is legendary, but the shadow weavers and Balestrom's dialogue about the primal fear that everyone felt towards the dark presence in the flood waters from Celestia told us that whatever is in Celestia is important enough that powerful dark entities are willing to eat the living just to get it.

The other issue with the Celestia quest right now is the one that allows you to learn the Celestial magics. First of all, it is very fascinating to me the varying levels of understand of magic and the attitudes toward magic between peoples within the Spiral Geographic Society, but that's for another post. What I'm more interested in is why the hell Morganthe was name dropped? Not even the Weavers mentioned her by name, just that she was cruel and likes crushing the bravado of heros. I didn't know that Morganthe invaded Celestia, I just knew there were some deep dark military secrets in the oceans! And yet it's just presented as if we should just know this information! If anything, it would have flowed a lot more smoothly to build up the mystery! something like "There must have been a reason why Celestia fell to ruin, some dark force must have wanted it this powerful magic!" and then have Prospector Zeke confirm the dark presence (which he does).
