I think some of y'all don't actually genuinely believe in restorative justice and really what you want to see is violence enacted towards the specific demographics you think are deserving of it. Which funnily is kind of the exact same thing our current prison system does, and y'all are just putting a liberal bow on it.

If you truly believed in radical change you would agree that the death penalty is inhumane for anyone. And I literally mean anyone.

You can take away someone's power to harm without doing them (physical) harm in turn. Like where did we lose the plot on the fact that we are all equally human and we are all equally capable of great evil and great good and treating ourselves as if we are a separate species from those who choose to do great evil just invites our own blindness to probably some every day evil we would refuse to examine within ourselves?

Anyways no the answer to what we do with people who commit a specific evil crime is not to kill all the perpetrators of that crime but to give unwavering help and support to the victims, to as a society provide thorough education that will help keep people safe from either encountering these situations where they might be harmed or prevent people from going down a road of wanting to commit those crimes in the first place, to listen to the warning signs that people give about their suspected risk of danger before they become victims, to remove perpetrators ability to have access to their victims again and guide them to a path that would have them change to never repeat that evil again. And as complicated as all of that is, I promise you no one has to fucking die about it jesus christ.
