their parents are Ares and Aphro (greek myths showing how they love each other so it isn’t unlikely that clarisse and silena have chemistry… in fact it’s MORE than likely that they’re connected as we see by how clarisse reacts when silena *SPOILER ALERT* dies)

speaking of the silena death, the parallels between clarisse x silena and patrocles x achilles ?! UNMATCHED we literally cannot ignore the fact that that was a clear allusion to that tragic love story that was recognized in ancient Greece

some things that stand in the way of clarisse and silena being canon (besides the fact that silena is dead oop)

yes yes i get that chris is with clarisse and silena is with beckendorf but there is NO WAY that they didn’t have any feelings towards one another at SOME point in being at chb

Personal headcanon that clarisse learns to braid silena’s hair because “silena it’ll help my hand eye coordination…. NO silena not to be girly” but when silena dies, clarisse braids her own hair and her siblings’ hair as a way to connect with them and calm down 

canon that silena helps clarisse be vulnerable and lean into her personal emotions more (as shown by when she comforts silena after charlie dies)

clarisse is like very tough. as we all know. but like silena loves to make little flower accessories for everyone, and she gives clarisse one like all the time and even though clarisse hates them so much she loves silena so she wears it like all day and then you’ll find her beating some kid up cuz they made fun of her LKSDJFLKSJF

when they were younger clarisse actually tried to teach silena how to use weapons (because fuck that aphrodite cabin stereotype of how they ArEn’T StRoNg oR PowErFuL) and silena has been greatful for it every day <3

although i don’t think she’s that great with like swords or daggers or like anything that requires close-range fighting, she actually has a knack for bow and arrows!! who would have thought?

clarisse gets angry quite a bit, as we already know, but all silena needs to do is place her hand over clarisse and suddenly clarisse is like absolutely SOFT

every time clarisse goes out of camp for a bit she always brings silena chocolates cuz even though silena’s dad has like a chocolate shop (i’m pretty sure??) sometimes she likes to try other kinds of chocolates cuz she has a sweet tooth asldkjffs

For those of you who are wondering who else the original tweet is referring to, they are talking about Margaret Atwood, a very prominent feminist author (probably best known for The Handmaid’s Tale). Because she is a feminist the terfs assumed that she’d naturally side with them, and it came as a massive shock (for some reason) when she very publicly opposed and humiliated all of  terfdom.

But yeah I don’t know how terfs can possibly get through Discworld books without any kind of self-awareness but apparently they do.
