i feel like it’s fine to acknowledge that making the Guardian of Time pale and then splitting her into 2 people where the Hero Good Side (Lana) is pale and the Villain Bad Side (Cia) is dark skinned was very much a Choice

what tma fears i think the chain would be avatars of:
time: easy avatar of the stranger. you might think an to be an avatar of the eye, but with the effects time travel had on him, being neither child nor adult, causes some serious identity issues. as a bonus, he literally wore and walked around in strangers’ faces, bonus the whole fierce deity thing.
hyrule: another easy one! avatar of the desolation. not only fire, fire, fire, but also his era is the most declined. also, he carries around a candle.
wild: avatar of the end. i think he has some complex feelings about mortality after rising out of the shrine. also vying for the extinction, but i generally think his hyrule is too beautiful and hopecore for that sorry.
sky: avatar of the vast. lightning, the open air, but also demise’s boss battle arena gives me endless ground.
twilight: this one’s a hard one. part of me is leaning hunt, part of me is leaning flesh, but overall i think Im gonna go avatar of the dark. shadow of a wolf with only glowing eyes.
four: he’s like. 3/4 spiral and 1/4 flesh. part of me really, really, really wants to go full flesh, but avatar of the spiral makes more sense. especially with his shadow.
legend: avatar of the lonely. do i need to explain or can i just point to koholint?
warriors: avatar of the hunt. if you’ve played hyrule warriors, then you know you can and have to Move in order to demolish your enemies. I think he’s a fun play on hunt as a soldier, ever fulfilling his duty, than the animalistic hunt.
wind: another hard one! i’m gonna go with avatar of the buried! could’ve made him vast too but i want to make every one individual. i think the idea of having thousands of pounds of water crushing you forever is interesting. also see wind wakers themes of roles, expectations, and the haunting of the past always being a crushing weight on your shoulders.

So I was chewing on the most recent LU update in a server, and got told I should put the thoughts into a post for y’all so I guess here’s a new installment. This time of:
Does Warriors have PTSD?
The first place to address this is that – can we even say if Warriors’ response is PTSD over pure adrenaline? He’s already been in a strenuous fight that leaves him breathing hard and sweating before Wild sends him racing to the end of the hall and out of the water, which was not a minor jump. Anyone would be shaking after that kind of exertion.
However, on top of that Warriors is dealing with the fact that in that flash of light and sound, with his back to the hallway he has no way to know if Wild is okay or not. This is not a man who takes others’ injury lightly: he’s constantly checking on the other heroes, and clearly hyper-aware of how they feel (which I’ll touch on again later.) He may have trusted Wild had a plan, despite not being fully sure what it was or how it was going to work, but that doesn’t mean he knows Wild was okay until he sees him climb up after him.
Often, the two reactions are linked for a lot of people. Anyone who’s played a Hyrule Warriors game knows that running between events is a major part of the game. When Twilight goes down in Sunset, Time sends Warriors racing to his side ("Get to him! Hurry!"): connecting physical exertion with terror is something you can reasonably assume Warriors does.
But can we still say whether it’s PTSD or adrenaline, or both?
It takes Warriors several pages to come out of his shocked reaction here. He’s staring blankly, looking at his shaking hands and startling as the sparks trek past them and up the wall. He snaps out of it when Wild starts talking and pulls himself together quite quickly once they start talking and he seems to get a grip on his reaction.
If this is a trauma response, Warriors has a very solid grip on it to bring it under control again that fast. But we’ve seen evidence of that before, too. Where Time has gone snappish and cold, and seems to be losing time and failing to respond to people over the past couple days, Warriors is protective but stable and Wild is already back to laughing and teasing… all of which are different kinds of reaction to the same thing. Warriors has had a lot of experience going from a brush with death back to the next problem, and he’s usually estimated to be in his mid-twenties now when he was most likely a teenager in his war: that’s around five years plus the time he was in active war to teach himself how to cope.
Its interesting to look back at Sunset and more directly compare how Time handled Twilight’s injury versus how Warriors did it. Time was clearly emotional; you can see a lot more rage in his face, a lot of panic and reactivity; he fights with Twilight directly, whereas Warriors eventually shrugs it off and walks by Twilight’s side and switches to teasing him – but, in Sunset pt.3, a few panels later when Twilight goes down it’s clearly not a surprise: Warriors had deemed the argument pointless and let Twilight fall, vs Time trying to order him around.
It happens many times, actually: he’s teasing Hyrule in Magic Sword, teasing Wild here in the Dungeon, teases Twilight even after they learn the fairy failed. Warriors has practice with deflection as a tactic (He deflects the innkeeper, deflects Wind from Wild storming off) and the moment it’s not needed he snaps back: once Time & Twilight leave for the village, Warriors shifts to command with Sky.
His problem with Wild is clearly that Wild does not take commands. Warriors’ reasoning not to attack the Knuckle is sound: he’s just seen evidence of it’s weapon dealing unhealable wounds, when he’s clearly assigned himself the main role of group medic back in Threatening Shadows. Unfortunately for him, Wild is not used to taking commands. He analyzes the situation himself and reaches his own conclusion, which isn’t strictly a bad thing! He has information about his skillset Warriors does not, but he has no idea that he should convey that to him before he acts on that choice: Wild does not fight as a unit, and Warriors does. This is a mutual misunderstanding with no blame, for all Warriors tries to chew Wild out for it in the immediate moment (when, once again, he was likely scared out of his mind Wild would die.) Warriors has clearly realized that since having assigned Wild to himself in this dungeon.
It’s the mature and correct reaction, to realize you were ignored not because someone refused your authority, but because they did not realize it was there in the first place. Wild reacts to stress completely differently than Time, who reacts differently than Legend or Sky because all of them have different experience. Wild, so far as we’ve seen, is the only one who responds with rage…
And that’s going to take work all its own for Warriors to manage if he wants to put himself in charge of the others. All this, and nevermind Wild learning to handle it himself—but Wild, unlike Warriors, is less than a year from waking in the Shrine himself. Coping techniques like he clearly has take time.
(This analysis had meandered a ways, but these were all connected thoughts as I poked along it so I hope y’all had fun following along with me!)
I personally think ww Link and Tetra just have black eyes. I totally get why people headcanon them to have green or blue eyes due to their respective tints, I kinda used to, but then I saw a lot of wind waker npcs had straight up very obviously colored eyes.
Like look at these two:
Then look at these guys:
So idk, I just personally headcanon Tetra and Link have black eyes because of this 💔 They were probably intended to have green and blue eyes, but eh.
(This is not me telling other people what they can and cannot headcanon. It is me sharing my own personal headcanons and my reasonings for them)

Thank you so much for colouring it because I had ZERO motivation to do it and now it looks perfect!! I can safely say that your colouring method works very nicely :))
