Zelda and Links relationship has gone a few different ways, but they typically go an expected pattern- he either meets her as a nonroyal and gets to grow up alongside her (Sky/Sun, Wind/Tetra), or he meets her as The Princess and must retain his respectful distance (which can be said for most all of them). Of course there’s special circumstances, but they usually fit one of these at different times.

Four and Dot are so unique because Dot is his childhood friend he’s known all his life, while also being the Princess of Hyrule. The lines between royalty and common folk are a lot more blurry and casual in the early Eras of the Minish Cap, as townsfolk treat her as they would a regular girl (well, maybe they spoil her a bit more) and no one bats an eye at her running around with Link. I mean the game states she goes to (presumably, a public) school with Link.

For this, I want something new, or at the very least interesting. Like the RE4 remake because it feels different than the original and I can still enjoy the original and remake in different ways. Something like that.

I don’t actually want a complete 1-to-1 loyal rehash of the original in just a glossier art style because then I’d just play the original lol. I don’t think you should want that either. I don’t want this game to feel too familiar. I want it to feel foreign. If they’re gonna use this dev time to reimagine OOT I want to see it reimagined in an interesting way at least. So I’m just gonna wait for what they’re gonna do with it.
