Some of you have pointed out that Four’s hair is becoming more layered and “fluffy” as time goes on. we all know that this is just an art choice and jojo can do whatever feels right to her I did extensive research to find the cause and the answer may surprise you.

The longer this dungeon arc goes on, the more I realize how genius Time’s team pairings are. All the Heroes are still shaken and stressed out after Twilight’s near death (for slightly different individual reasons). That kind of stress WILL make the Links more likely to make mistakes and fight with each other instead of focusing on their goal.

Between his experiences/age and Malon’s help with his personal healing, Time knows all of this. And he knows they’re in a bad spot to start a dungeon or chase the most dangerous enemy they’ve faced. He’s even recognized his own bad headspace when he reacts poorly to Warriors suggesting they split up.

So what does Time do? He takes stock of where he’s at, looks at what would be best for his kids the group, and makes teams that will help each Hero with their individual stress/struggles. And it’s WORKING.

Warriors: Trying to look normal on the outside while panicking/refusing to resolve his feelings/being overprotective. Was in “active duty” mode pretty much the whole time Twi was almost-dying. Time lets Wars choose who he goes with, giving Warriors the control he needs to function and breathe. Choosing Wild has already led to a better relationship for both knights, plus Wars might learn something about loosening up and thinking outside the box.

Twilight: DONE with people hovering over him. A little tired physically, but otherwise fine. Sky is the one person who won’t hover and that Twi doesn’t feel like he needs to watch/care for since they’re close in age. Plus, Sky is slow when he’s not in a fight. Relaxed pace for recovery + friend who’s not going to go nuts if he gets a scratch + Master Sword backup = happy Wolfie.

Sky: Same reasons as Twilight, but flipped. Sky doesn’t have to push himself too hard, but having someone close to his age/skill will drive him to become better and not spiral in his own head.

Wild: Arguably the most okay out of everyone after the Sunset arc. His fight with Four/the Colors made him speedrun his personal growth before the others. But time with Warriors has already helped Wild start figuring out what he wants in life and how he’ll start searching for it now. It’s also giving him a chance to bridge the gap with Warriors and understand each other/work together better.

Legend: Not okay. So not okay. One of the most outwardly stressed and spiraling Links. It already caused several arguments and fights before the group split up. Yes, Time paired him with Hyrule because they needed to get their boomerangs, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Time also knew that Legend needs a vacation. Badly. Hyrule is immune to Legend’s snark. He’s one of the few people Legend truly opens up to and can be himself around. They’ve been in dungeon crawler paradise, giving him the space to talk things out. We still see Legend struggling with worry, but he’s having more fun than we’ve ever seen him have up to this point.

Hyrule: Feeling the burden and exhaustion from healing Twilight so often. Still one of the more secure Links at the moment, so it makes sense to pair him with one of the ones struggling most (who also happens to be his bestie). Hyrule and Legend ground each other. This is just as much a vacation for Rulie as it is for Leg.

Four: Worried he went too far with Wild. Also worried that Twilight may suddenly become evil. Needs a field trip with lots of puzzles for enrichment, preferably with Dad someone who takes him seriously without being intimidated by him, as well as someone who keeps him curious and asking questions (Wind. Wind is the perfect person for this.).

Wind: VERY worried that Twilight may suddenly become evil. Antsy, needing to move, bored with everyone’s planning and politicking. Needs an outlet that will let him run and be his own Hero. He’s always loved being close to Dad Time and would get a huge confidence boost doing a dungeon with his predecessor. Plus, he’s getting enough of a distraction to take a breather and realize that Twi will be fine. On the flip side, Time and Four’s analytical personalities keep Wind from running off or getting too distracted.

Time: Man needs a long vacation where he can keep all his kids in sight. But having the two youngest (arguably youngest; Four’s physical age is more of a mystery than Time’s mental age😆) around brings out Time’s softer, more relaxed/youthful side. He gets people to look after who won’t chew him out for it, as long as he keeps his protectiveness in check. And if he doesn’t? Wind and Four are more than willing to call out anyone, even their leader, on it.

Prior to the split, Legend was pretty much alternating between messing with people (Warriors and Sky) or worrying about them (Wild and Twilight).

But he doesn’t have to worry about Hyrule! Legend’s free to be in his element.

And he can tease Hyrule with zero consequences, because—

Hyrule’s in his element, too.

They’re adorable.

TLDR, Time knows what he’s doing.

Because of the joke, I feel like we missed the fact that Wild brought up Hyrule. Maybe the two of them make these kind of morbid, dry jokes to each other often enough that it’s their sense of humor? I can imagine scenarios like:

wild: “what do you like to eat?” hyrule: “Anything that won’t kill me.”

But Hyrule. Hyrule had a hard adventure(s) too. But he can see the wonder in it still. And he brings that wonder of adventure with him, that joy of discovery and excitement of exploration, and I dearly hope their conversation we got to see today is First maybe getting to learn that adventure doesn’t have to be a bad thing. That there can be beauty in it, and joy.

The PARALLELS. AAUAUUUUU- JOJO YOU GENIUS.

They're like night and day, but they're still like... THE SAME. Like twins with different aesthetics. I haven't seen anybody talk about this so I WILL.

Seriously, look at them. Sky's pallete is light, Twi's is dark. Yet they both wear waist thingies. They've both got blonde-ish brown hair, but Sky's is swept to the left, Twi's is swept to the right. Which is funny cuz... SKY IS RIGHT HANDED, TWI IS LEFT HANDED.

Twilight is drawn with sharper edges, while Sky is drawn much softer. They both wear chainmail but... Sky's is silver, Twi's is gold. Both of them wear cloaks of some kind. Sky's is white, Twi's is black. NIGHT AND DAY. LIGHT AND DARK. YIN AND YANG.

JOJO WHEN I CATCH YOU JOJO-

Sky was born and raised a knight, Twi grew up on a farm. But both of them came from outside of Hyrule in tight-knit communities.
