link and zelda vehemently disagree when they first met.

zelda insists it was in the training yard, and then on the battlefield. she had already seen him, before, of course, in her prophetic dreams, but she knew it was him even before the triforce of courage awoke in him. those few moments on the field, fighting in tandem before she had to flee, were worth more than words.

link says that doesn’t count, they barely exchanged a few words in hyrule field. besides, he was far too nervous, because he had just broken the law by running out into the battle, and then had been directly called out by the General and the Princess of the Kingdom. they met in eldin. they played 20 questions on the way to faron. nuff said.
