ok so it stems from my were katelyn au that i've mused about once or twice but here goes
seth is a werewolf, was turned in his second year and has done an okay job of handling it. takes himself out to the woods every full moon so he can change there, kill some rodents or whatever and one or two unsuspecting hikers
allison knows, because seth showed up at her dorm with scars he couldn't come up with a decent explanation for, and he's a really shit liar when it comes to her, so he told her. she didn't believe him until she saw him change, once, a summer when they stayed alone together at one of her family's vacation houses. she didn't want to restrain him but seth made her do it, because he knew he couldn't live with himself if he hurt her
fast forward to. twins first year
aaron & seth uneasy alliance, seth only slightly less of a dick compared to canon due to having to hide The Lycanthropy therefore no time for bigotry
(toying with the idea that nicky finds out somehow? like he's hooking up with someone one night and sees seth sneak out of the tower and thinks hes like. also secretly hooking up and is like fuck yeah blackmail but no. dogy.)
so maybe thats why seth is less of an asshole to nicky in this i don't know. ANYWAY
fast forward again to the night seth was Supposed to die. someway somehow he turns into a werewolf without a full moon, he kills the guys riko sent to attack him and winds up on a full bloodthirsty rampage or whatever. stay with me here
it's reported as a bear attack, but the sole survivor says she doesn't think it was anything like a bear. sole survivor is in fact katelyn. katelyn winds up in hospital due to Injuries, while seth, with zero memory of what the fuck happened but the sinking knowledge that bears don't do what he did, wakes up in a parking lot covered in blood looking like a murder victim
aaron is, notably, freaked out by katelyn's situation. she is okay, but he spends a lot of time at the hospital and actually even talks to seth about it (like i said, uneasy alliance)
seth turns into a werewolf, as he does when theres a full moon, but while in wolf form he like. idk how it works he catches a scent or whatever but tldr There's A New Wolf Abouts. idfk if south carolina is particularly wolf-ridden i'm guessing not but seths like oh fuck did i turn someone.
he did! he turned katelyn into a werewolf, without realising, and she is notably terrified by this new development but he finds her eating a person in wolf form and then manages to find her again when they wake back up as people and is like. Chill Out.
he kind of gives her the rundown on Welcome To Being A Wolf and katelyn is like who the fuck could've done this to me and seths like. uh. well.
sidebar i'm thinking that seth got turned by some random person he got into a fight with, they tried to kill him but turned him instead, and so he tells katelyn that and she Jumps to the conclusion that it must've been a random attack.
so they kind of bond. and end up hanging out as people and as wolves and aaron notices this and is like weird but ok
and all three of them wind up hanging out because i dont know they have a thing going now and then katelyn tells seth after they've done a full moon together that she wants to tell aaron about it and seths like no fucking way and katelyn goes why not and seths like. Don't know. do whatever.
so they tell aaron and idk maybe he's into it. i came up with this five minutes ago but its an Idea
some of the plot i think would be based around obv seth trying to decide if he tells katelyn and aaron that he turned her but that would ruin what he has with them
and also that because he almost died he managed to turn spontaneously?? and could this happen again and have Consequences idk i just kinda wanna explore werewolves as a concept
