I think we don't do enough with the fact that Kevin and Riko canonically were drafted to a professional team pre-canon. I don't remember whether it's canon that they actually played a season or not but like they have to at least have MET the team right. Imagine you are a grown ass exy player (preferably from a normal collegiate team like that one college we all don't care about) or like a PA or physical therapist or something and you have to bear witness to kevriko weirdness at their prime. You could have kids and a mortgage and joint pain and two weird eighteen year olds are doing insane pseudoincest traumabond child star shit within spitting distance of you. And then over your break they both drop off the grid and one of them was badly injured and gets dropped by your team and when the other one comes back he refuses to address it honestly and there's clearly been some kind of catastrophic nuclear fall out between them. And then you go on break again and the kid kills himself and subsequently a bunch of his teammates kill themselves also and the rest are placed on suicide watch. And you like have to make peace with the fact you're never going to figure out what really happened, because even though the other one's back to playing but you were not that close and it's unlikely he'll sign your team again now, and it's like an insensitive topic to bring up anyway. Anyway time to put the kit on and go beat each other up on court for money let's hope none of the implications catches up with us
Once again being an extra in the AFTG universe brings so much fascinating implications.

sometimes you just have to say "you are all so fucking stupid" and scroll past
why are all the classes i want to take completely conflicting with the classes i have to take but fucking physics works wonderfully
Being asexual and racist is embarassing as fuck. Being racist at all is obviously embarassing as fuck but the amount of racism and especially antiblackness i have been seeing from asexuals recently is obscene.
One of the only asexual activists is Yasmin Benoit, a Black woman. She has raised so much awareness for the community. She was the first asexual person to lead Pride in London, she started the #thisiswhatasexuallookslike movement and is THE leading voice for the community.
And you all will celebrate international asexuality day on April 6th but we wouldn't even have that if she hadn't cofounded it.
Edit: why are you all too scared to repost this. Cmon. Be vocal about being against racism
Heartfelt conversations over spaghetti are the best kind. Or maybe the worst in Jeremy’s case.
something i think is really interesting is how characters perceive andrew as dangerous vs the ways in which he actually is dangerous.
specifically the knives. bc the thing about knives is that knives themselves are dangerous. whether or not the person knows how to best inflict harm with them is not what makes them dangerous. a knife is a weapon, it can hurt people intentionally or not. that is why people automatically fear someone pointing a knife at someone else.
andrew is incredibly capable of physically fighting someone. when he actually attacks people with the intent to harm, not scare, he uses his hands, not his knives. bc renee has only been teaching him to use knives for less than a year when the series starts. he doesn't actually know how to fight with them. not effectively. not yet. he is quite literally waving knives around for the fear factor and carrying them around to feel the security being armed gives him.
but this has the consequence that the other characters think the knives are the most dangerous thing about him when, in reality, the knives are dangerous on their own, he's just holding them. him threatening people with the knives is all bark and no bite. if he wants to hurt someone, he's using his fists.

Neil is gone.
Neil is gone.
Andrew's head is killing him and Neil is gone. He may have mastered the art of keeping his face impassive, but panic has settled in his chest, squeezing his lungs like a vice grip and making it hard to breathe. He keeps replaying Neil's last words to him over and over in his head, the ghost of a smile flickering across his lips but not quite reaching his eyes.
Neil is gone.
Andrew holds Neil's phone, eyes on the last text message he'd received, feeling his lips curl into a sneer. Around him, the rest of the Foxes talk over each other, fighting over what they should do. Everyone except Kevin, who stands by himself looking pale, hands curling and uncurling at his sides.
"Talk," Andrew says sharply, eyes on Kevin. The others go silent, watching the tense moment warily.
Taken aback, Kevin whispers, "What?"
"Talk. You know something. Talk."
Kevin wets his lips, misery etched across his face. His voice cracks when he says, "You were always going to lose him."
Andrew feels something crack deep within him, a fissure opening up and beginning to fester. His hands are shaking at his sides, and he curls them into fist in hopes of stopping the trembling.
"Explain," Andrew spits, the word like venom on his lips.
Kevin hurriedly explains everything. From Neil's father being The Butcher of Baltimore to Neil's real name being Nathaniel Wesninski to how Neil's father is in the pocket of the Moriyamas. How Neil's past had been destined to catch up to him; how it was going to ultimately kill him.
"You were always going to lose him," Kevin repeats when his sordid tale is complete. Like he knows what Neil means to Andrew; like he has any right to share his opinion.
Andrew feels that fissure shatter into a million pieces, anger unlike anything he's ever felt seizing his entire body and making his ears begin to ring. Andrew doesn't fight it; he attacks Kevin, hands wrapping around his throat, fingers trying to squeeze every last breath from his ungrateful lungs. It's only because it's Kevin that Andrew doesn't use his knives. Anyone else would have been bleeding out on the floor.
And Kevin.
Kevin lets him do it. Doesn't fight back, his green eyes never leaving Andrew's face even as his own face starts to turn red.
It takes the combined effort of Matt and Wymack to drag Andrew away from Kevin, his legs kicking wildly in the air. It takes even more effort on his part to calm down, and Andrew doesn't look at anyone but Kevin, who is being coddled by Abby.
"Cool it!" Wymack says when he sets Andrew down, one hand ready to catch him if he goes for Kevin again.
He doesn't. Kevin isn't worth it.
Andrew fixes Kevin with a dark look and softly says, "You and me are done." He then storms out of the room, not caring about the hurt that crosses Kevin's face, and slams the door behind him hard enough that he hears the small window crack.
Andrew doesn't look back.
