I am not that old, and I didn't have a smartphone until probably late high school. For most of my life, many if not most people were not walking around with a magic internet machine in their pocket that they pulled out and used constantly for everything.

I don't think of myself as cool at all. Like, I think what we do is weirdly, like, anti-fashion and it's very camp. You know, we don't do trendy music, we don't do club music, it's very guitars, it's very country based. Like most of us are queer, right, but then the music that we make is like music that 65 year old dads listen to. As in, like, cause I love Neil Young. I was one of the people that went to see Neil Young at Glastonbury instead of Charli XCX. Love Charli so much, but I had to see Neil Young, you know, I had to pay my dues.
