I spent last weekend at a wedding where all of her family knew me as the girl on the left. They had no idea who this “new” friend was. It was like being invisible, I honestly can’t describe it because it’s something you don’t expect. It took 3 days of events for some of her family to know it was me. The scale has stayed the same for an entire month. Bouncing beautifully between 188-189lbs. This is the first month I haven’t lost any weight since June 2019. I know it’s a combination of things that are happening. PCOS Symptoms on top of a higher calorie range. So I bumped up my workouts. I started running again. I dropped my calories. Nothing. No change. Here’s when mental toughness comes in to play. I’m not going to stop. I’m just going to keep going forever and ever amen. So it doesn’t matter if it takes the rest of my life to lose 20 more lbs. I’m gunna keep going. When you lose 100+lbs you gain freedom of movement & I want that for life. There is no end. It’s going to take hard work forever to maintain this freedom. When we stop seeing monthly progress on the scale is when (I believe) we need to dig deep & not give up. This is when we have to track extra closely. Give ourselves rest days with grace. Move when we don’t want to move. Create a plan for our nutrition & cheer our own fucking selves on. At the end of the day, I’m a warrior & and anyone who is brave enough to get on a social media platform and share their journey honestly is a freaking warrior too.
