Wayne/Darry Letterkenny plot bunnies
- darry and wayne finally get together and over the moon happy. but then wayne leaves town on business and never comes back - his airplane crashes. darry turns into a zombie, keeping the farm going out of duty and hoping to die in his sleep every night. until one day, wayne shows up at the farm. he is ragged, bearded, and amnesiac. but whoever that curly ginger feller constantly crying over him is, he just wants to make him smile again…
- on a scorching hot day, daryl walks into the barn where Wayne, shirtless and in jeans, is pouring a bucket of water over himself to cool off, and it’s an O Canada moment
- wayne goes to the city to pick up katy at work. the modeling shoot screeches to a stop at the sight of him. katy finds it both hilarious and infuriating that her brother got so many job offers just by showing up. what she doesn’t know yet is that the farm could really use that money. and wayne, who has been hit on daily by both sexes since he hit puberty, is immune to being ogled.
- daryl dislikes his freckles and envies Wayne’s complexion. what he doesn’t know is that Wayne also freckles in the sun. One summer day, Wayne forgets to put on sunscreen.
- the hicks go to Ronsy and Daxy’s Super Gay Birthday Party. Wayne attracts a great deal of amorous attention. Daryl is overcome with all kinds of confusing emotions.
- Wayne gets injured somewhere around his back and has to ask Daryl to help him with wound care. Awkward intimacy ensues, because Daryl is all kinds of weak for Wayne’s torso
- it ain’t easy being the hottest guy in Letterkenny. five times Wayne got hit on and passed, and the one time he acquiesced (Daryl/Wayne)
- winter emergency hypothermia cuddles!!
- Wayne and Darry end up killing a degen in a fight and end up in prison, where Darry catches someone’s eye. Wayne realizes he is either going to kill that other dude or have to claim Darry for himself
- Wayne accidentally overhears Darry cry to Katy about his hopeless love for Wayne and telling her he needs to move out of Letterkenny.
- The farm burns down. Darry runs in to save Wayne’s old dog Gus and gets him out, but almost dies himself. Wayne experiences all the feelings at once.
- Coffeshop AU. Wayne is a baker, Darry is a veterinarian who loves Wayne’s buns 👀
- 19th century AU, minus some of the period-typical homophobia. Daryl is a farmhand on Wayne’s father’s estate. The gulf between them is that of class rather than gender, though this as well. Wayne is destined for greater things, perhaps law or commerce. When Wayne’s father finds out that Daryl is in love with his son, he orders him whipped and throws him out. Wayne goes looking for his best childhood friend in town and finds out what happened and why. He confronts his father, packs his things, and moves with Daryl to a small farm where his mother grew up, to run it with Daryl. Because you don’t fuck with tradition, but only until it fucks with you.
