Everything in this episode is a reference to a movie and I can’t recognize too many (other than the obvious Star Wars one--and Clint Eastwood and John Wayne--maybe Charlie Chaplin???)

CULT MOVIE INSPIRATION RANK 32 Harlock: Space Pirate is a 2013 Japanese 3D CG anime science fiction film directed by Shinji Aramaki. It was recognized as the best international animated feature at the fifth annual 3D Creative Arts Awards held at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles on January 28, 2014. Harlock is the archetype of the romantic hero, a space pirate with an individualistic philosophy of life. He is as noble as he is taciturn, rebellious, stoically fighting against totalitarian regimes, whether they are of national or foreign land. In his words, he "fighting [s] for no one is okay ... only for something deep in [his] heart". He is not afraid of death, and is sometimes seen wearing clothes with the number 42 on it. In Japanese culture, the number 42 is associated with death (the numbers, pronounced separately as "four twos," sound like the word "shini" - meaning "die / death").
