So last night I finally saw "They call me Jeeg" because Kojima mentioned it a few times as being heavily inspired by Luca Marinelli's character not just for casting Neil in DS2 but also for a few aspects that bled into Higgs in DS2, which I'm sure you can spot once you watch the film. I wanted to share this awesome scene since a few of you may not have heard of this movie but I highly recommend it. It's two hours long but I honestly wanted it to be longer, and man, what a talent Marinelli is.

海外で「グレンダイザー」と「鋼鉄ジーグ」が熱いワケ

　日本では1975年にTV放送が始まったロボットアニメの『UFOロボ グレンダイザー』と『鋼鉄ジーグ』は、国内でも人気のあった作品でしたが、海外での評価はともに日本以上のものでした。放送から約半世紀の2024年現在、この2作品に熱い注目が集まっています。

　なぜならば先日、イタリアで『鋼鉄ジーグ対UFOロボ グレンダイザー（原題は『JEEG CONTRO GOLDRAKE』）』というタイトルのアニメコミック作品（アニメのグラフィックで描くマンガスタイルのコンテンツ）が、本年2024年に永井豪先生とダイナミック企画の承認のもと、制作されるという発表があったからでした。

　日本のファンには「なぜ今？」と思う人も少なくないでしょう。これは海外での両作品の人気が日本人の考えている以上のものだからです。そのことについて順を追って説明しましょう。
