slavery whump prompt: a formerly enslaved character struggling to fight years of training and trauma every time they go out in public and see someone who's still a slave. hearing a command issued to slave and fighting the urge to immediately bow and follow it. wincing then zoning out as someone beats their slave. it's been years and they still can't break the habit of calling caretaker sir/ma'am. things like that
ohhh love this! always super fun! that it would feel like a failure to whumpee... and you know what? even better if:
they feel such indescribable rage and grief when they see other slaves, knowing that their misery isn't a compulsion, knowing that hurting at the whim of someone else will never be enough for the owners. they will always want more, to exploit and ruin another for the sake of their twisted pleasure. they begin to avoid going outside, afraid of what they might end up saying— such ideas are scoffed at, at best and will more often than not be seen as a challenge to the owner's authority. they shudder to even think of what something like that would entail.
whumpee automatically assuming Rest position whenever someone enters the room. still. still, shame and fear freezes them in place as they are soothed and reassured into letting the tension ebb away.
whumpee cowering in face of authority. hating themself for it, but unable to meet eyes with the person, unable to stand their ground and hating themself for it.
being forced to witness a public punishment and just about to dart away by the end of it, only held in place by caretaker's grounding grip which won't let them float away forever and never come back.
kneeling in front of caretaker when afraid. deriving a twisted comfort from knowing that they are following the rules which they are not bound to anymore, but still their mind resists unlearning them— for they were beaten into them. over and over and over again.

Whumpee freezes, painfully aware of their mistake. "I - I'm sorry," they choke out. "I'm so sorry, [Master/Mistress]-"
"Oh no, no, love, it's not your fault! I'm sorry!" Whumper's voice is saccharine, but their next words send a chill through Whumpee. "I just haven't trained you well enough - yet."
May we see that April and Donnie scene and the reaction of the whole family? Not forcing of course! I love this au so much, ahh the pain! 🥺
April does remind Donnie of Kendra, in only that they’re both nice to him. In Donnie’s memories, April wasn’t ever as physically abusive as his brothers, and now that he’s back home, she’s not said anything hurtful. So he latches on to her pretty hard.
⚠️ Warning for comic under the cut: implied sexual abuse, short scene of Donnie/April (conditioned panic reaction, nothing romantic is actually implied between them), brainwashing/conditioning.
Do not click if you find any of these things disturbing or triggering!!!! ⚠️
Anyone else have that “my parents raised me the CORRECT way so I’m better than other stupid kids” to “my parents conditioned me so horribly I am unable to function properly in society” pipeline or was that just us
"Now, MirrorCatCreditcard," you may say, "that's nonsense. Any human would want freedom from that system."
If you're thinking I'm gonna convince you that Luka doesn't know he wants freedom yet, you're wrong. I'm here to talk about indoctrination/conditioning, grooming/emotional manipulation, my own experience with those topics, and how all of the above connects with Luka as a character. If a deep dive like this is too much for you, please tap out for your own sake.
Luka's life was planned before he even existed. There has never ever been an alternative option. There is no life for Luka as anything but what Herperu chose. Everything in his life has been planned to have him be the perfect pet human idol. That is what he must be.
Fandom, I don't think most of you actually understand this and have dissected what this means (shout-out to the Luka stans who are getting there/have guessed similar things). These words we know have alternatives and are not set in stone are Luka's "gravity makes rain fall to the earth" and "water makes things wet." They are facts so deeply ingrained within him that even if shown the contrary he remarks that the person showing them is just disillusioned.
Take his commentary on Mizi and Hyun-A in the art book. He looks down on Mizi for not being able to control any of her emotions. How does he talk about Hyun-A? He has her at 70% affection yet shows a patronizing attitude—she's the one in denial at reality.
Now, how did we get here? How is a human so "delusional" and set in the control?
He's been conditioned.
Some of you don't know what I mean by this from experience and/or research, and count yourself fortunate that you don't. I pray you never experience such things firsthand. Don't worry about ignorance. Familiar or not, I will explain.
When you are surrounded by only one truth and reality, that is the way you interpret life. If a parent tells a child "the moon goes to sleep during the day," until the child learns otherwise, that's what they believe. Now take that child-like belief and add some toxic environments to the mix. With time, any other kid would learn that the earth rotates from their peers or adults around them. But if the creatures around them all say and believe the same thing "the moon goes to sleep during the day," then that is what the child continues to believe. Years of that same thing being the only truth make that false knowledge into a fact in the person's head, and everything that supports that fact is taken as truth or on the right path to truth.
"This is kinda silly though," you guys are no doubt murmuring, "All of this is a hypothetical. Give us something that makes sense or that someone could actually see happen in our society."
I'll give you my own experience then. My parents taught me that God is real. My parents taught me that I will be damned I do not follow the commandments of the scriptures. I didn't need to worry though. As long as I was obedient to the God who loved me and wanted what was best, I would be saved despite being born an awful sinful human. I was homeschooled, only interacted with people of similar beliefs, and taught that people too different from me in ideology or with radical beliefs against my own were trying to harm me and my family. I believed the people who raised me because why would people who love me lie to me? My task was simple. I needed to obey God and love everyone, especially them. Love meant giving up my entire being and living only as servant and sacrifice. After all, being selfless to the utmost was the greatest form of love.
Let's go back to Luka. His guardian, Herperu, when questioned about any surprises while training Luka, stated not only that he was the one who endured the "tough moments" but also that "(Luka) owes his success to me, and naturally, he should be grateful." This sentiment is echoed by Luka in his interview (shown on Patreon). My god, it's giving parents with disabled kids who brag on social media about how much trouble their kid is and how much they do for them. Sickening. This shows exactly what environment Luka has lived in though.
When you are manipulated into having something as your reality, everything else is fiction and delusion.
Let's review what exactly is Luka's reality.
Heperu is the one suffering if Luka has any difficulties being obedient.
Gratitude is what Herperu is owed because he goes through so much trouble to make Luka a star.
Love/care is shown by owning another's autonomy.
Emotions and bodily reactions exist, sure, but someone should be able to control them; and if they can't, someone should control those reactions for them.
Segyein are superior and the good ones for dealing with humans. Humans must be disciplined and shaped to how an segyein wants it to act to be considered deserving of this goodness.
(Luka)'s perfection is defined by his guardian.
Luka's life is directly connected to being the perfect performer. His guardian praises his abilities with the statement that no other pet human will ever be as perfect as him yet leaves an underlying threat saying that it will be no good if a pet is not trained properly. This has probably been mentally (if not physically) beaten into Luka's mind: his greatness doesn't stop him from being able to be disposed of. The human instinct to want to live has been explained to him as Heperu's wish for him to live and that has been further distorted as a duty to live for the stage he has been placed on.
Luka believes fully that there is a debt in play here. In his interview, he mentions repaying love. He thinks the relationship between fan and idol is completely normal, encouraged, and healthy. Performance is the most important thing. Being where he is is a privilege.
There's a chain here:
Heperu indoctrinated Luka into believing what he says is all true.
The guardian manipulated him easily to do what he wanted with his body and mind.
The years have been spent constantly conditioning Luka to be the god who encapsulated fantasies for the audience.
He is continually being groomed to exist for the entertainment and enjoyment of segyein.
Circle back to my first point of this post. Luka does not want to be freed. He doesn't know what freedom actually is. He sees freedom as either foolish denials of reality (and doesn't consider that actual freedom) or as controlling the song and stage when he performs (something he learned from Hyuna). He cannot want something he cannot understand. He cannot want freedom in the sense the fandom keeps speaking about.
It's funny. From the moment Luka was revealed to be hated by the fandom, I wanted to know why. Instead of digging and finding horrific deeds, I instead found a character who portrayed my own traumas and experiences. I instantly attached and delved deeply into learning about this thirty year old singer. Why does he express himself in a certain way? Where do we first see mention of him? Who does he have emotions towards? How was he trained? What makes Luka himself? I have past essays/replies to other's theories if you're interested, but in this one I got personal and didn't sugarcoat the facts. If the fandom can't handle deep thought, we shouldn't be discussing this incredibly profound and depth-filled web series.
As always, thank you for your time, and I hope my thoughts allowed you to open your mind to new things. Mostly, I hope you enjoyed them 🫶

The cold tile under their knees as the kneel on the bathroom floor, begging for whumper to forgive them, not because they are actually sorry for what they did, but because they don't want to be waterboarded in the bathtub again.
Or
Whumpee, who's already been allowed back at their whumper's feet after their punishment, the carpet leaving little indents of texture in their skin as they kneel, clutch at the fluffy fabric, and maybe even press their forehead against the ground because they really are so, so sorry for being bad.
In this ending, Vaggie successfully catches Alastor and marries him, much like Charlie's bad end (and this one, like her, can have the option of Charlie also being married to them or not). Depending on whether you want to go the force transitioning route: Alastor either gives up once Vaggie successfully forces a transition surgery onto him or (if you don't want to go that route) he just gives up, too tired to fight Vaggie and her traps.
Transition or not, Vaggie dresses him as a woman, forces him to grow his hair out, and just generally takes on a more feminine appearance. She goes as far as to rename him "Alison" and only refers to him as female in public. In private, she will at times refer to him as a male, but in the past tense and in a degrading way. She makes it a point to make sure he doesn't have his antlers. Whenever they start growing back, Alastor panics and hurries to rip them off before Vaggie sees them. It's painful, but always less painful than when Vaggie does it, as she's very violent with her approach. She will sometimes hit him for having antlers or even for seeing signs that they've regrown.
Anytime Alastor remarks discomfort with himself, Vaggie gets frustrated and berates him about it. When she notices him turning to accidental self-harm to deal with his discomfort (hair pulling, claw scratches, etc.), she admonishes and at times hit him as well (like if he pulls his hair, she'll pull his hair, yelling at him "isn't this what you like?").
Vaggie hides this poor behavior from Charlie (whether or not she's still in a relationship with Charlie or not in this route) and forces Alastor to keep quiet about it as well. If he gives any indication otherwise, she will punish him in private.
While I'm not sure if Alastor would or would not have all his bells and whistles (I feel like it would make sense in this route if Vaggie would find a way to "depower" him to make him easier to handle, but not sure how she'd do that. Maybe have him drinking diluted holy water over time? Alastor, more or less, has just given up on this route. He doesn't feel like he can do much else and is unmotivated to attack back.
It's not uncommon in the private sensual moments for her to get violent and belittle Alastor, and how she's the only one who would love a woman like him. In the case of a transitioning route, Vaggie will taunt him about having used to be a man. And if Alastor gives an indication that he wishes he had never transitioned, she will taunt him more and abuse him further until he says he's happy to be a woman. These more violent times occur when Alastor begins to show distress, typically for either the sex or his forced gender, but not exclusive to those.
She will lightly degrade him when she's not angry, too, but it's mixed with sweet words as well. Giving him a whiplash of treatment.
Most sensual times Vaggie does genuinely try to be nice and try to find what Alastor likes (whether he likes it or not). It's when Vaggie is already angry or frustrated with Alastor that she gets more abusive in these moments.
Vaggie isn't really abusing Alastor 24/7 (well, other than enforcing an unwanted gender identity and relationship, I suppose). Anything nice she would do for Charlie, she'd do for Alastor. Surprising him with things that he doesn't expect (like sinner meat or masculine clothing) is one of her favorite ways to show affection to see the brief light in his eyes from the gift.
Vaggie is as protective of Alastor as she is of Charlie, and she is also as very loving of him as she is of her. Vaggie will shower Alastor with genuine compliments, even in private sometimes she just wants to shower Alastor with love rather than any sort of abuse. Whenever Alastor does something particularly good (like introducing himself as Alison the first couple of times and holding her hand out of his own volition), she'll praise him and reward him for it.
Vaggie takes more into consideration of attire for Alastor rather than what she just wants to see. While she still puts Alastor in "less than Alastor-styled" outfits from time to time, those clothes are mainly for private or special occasions. For the most part, Vaggie gives (and allows) Alastor clothes more up his alley, even suits as long as he still looks feminine enough.
While Vaggie will get violent with Alastor for showing discomfort with his forced gender, she normally first tries to comfort and praise Alastor about his body and self. It's when Alastor begins getting more upset that she'll get more abusive. She will always follow up her actions with comfort for Alastor. This would, I can imagine, grow into a Stockholm syndrome situation, especially if Alastor wanted to deny the situation he's in.
EDIT: I just wanted to note that I have toned down elements to this ending! It's not revamped, but I just thought I'd mention it as the more perverse elements for this ending didn't really add too much and felt needed to be added. But I did want to acknowledge this ending was a tad darker than it is described here!
I believe that c!Tommy’s kleptomania is one of the most fascinating and heartbreaking parts of his personality, as it adds layers to his character, and explains certain parts of the lore that some people seem to consider a simple bad habit and display of his childishness. I would like to elaborate on that further and explore the way it changed in the exile arc.
To begin with, c!Tommy has been suffering from kleptomania ever since s1, but contrary to popular belief, he had no malicious intentions. From the very beginning of the server, he was already severely traumatised to the point of having PTSD and lacked self-worth. So, understandably enough, he was craving something to make up for his self-hatred, and robbery became that thing. c!Tommy would mostly steal insignificant things because what truly mattered was the amount of things he possessed, not their value or rarity. After all, if he had a large number of objects in his possession, it meant that he was worthy, and nothing else truly mattered.
Since the very beginning of exile, despite his need to acquire items to stabilise his extreme self-hatred, c!Tommy adamantly refused to accept anything from his visitors because he couldn’t help but assume that the gifts in question were “pity items”, and being pitied was one of the things he hated the most. As his exile went on, the belief that no one cared enough to offer him a gift out of genuine care, only grew stronger due to c!Dream’s manipulation, c!Tommy’s severe loneliness, and the heartbreak of the Beach Party. However, with time, the blond has grown to trust someone other than c!Dream — c!Ranboo. Eventually, he allowed the enderman hybrid to offer him things, as long as he promised that his gifts came from the heart. As much as c!Tommy attempted to hide his true feelings, he cherished every single object received from c!Ranboo. These weren’t just objects, like the ones he’d often steal from people to feel worthy — these served as a reminder that there was something to live for, and at least, someone other than c!Dream genuinely cared about him.
Considering that c!Dream has been obsessed with c!Tommy ever since s1 (which included living in his walls and stalking him) and used his kleptomania and “destructive nature” as an argument to get him exiled from L’Manberg, he certainly was aware of the boy’s insecurity, and was looking forward to exploiting it to the fullest to break- no, shatter him :)
The daily routine of discarding his objects hurt c!Tommy far more than we could’ve imagined, because if we keep his deep self-hatred in mind, he didn’t simply find it upsetting due to being stuck in the cycle of obtaining and destroying his items — it was something more than that. Every lost item equaled a tiny shard of c!Tommy’s self-worth, and soon enough, there was almost Nothing left; he was nothing but an empty shell.
Understandably enough, with time, the teenager has grown to believe that he wasn’t worthy to possess anything valuable of his own — he was meant to earn every little thing, and his best friend tormentor couldn’t be more pleased :) :) :)
