A/N: I've had some really bad writers block and I just started classes again so I've gathered up some prompt ideas and will probably be writing only drabbles for a bit while till I have the energy for Bird of Prey and Project Telum.
Villain entered the lair, Sidekick trailing behind her. Both had made it out of the fight practically unscathed. Despite this, Villain was fuming. The heroes had gotten too close to actually defeating and arresting them. More and more it seemed like the heroes had the jump on them, like they knew her plans. She watched as Sidekick patched himself up, he had several scraps and cuts from the fight. She wondered if she had been giving him too many freedoms. He knew all her plans, and she had no real reason to trust him.
“Sidekick.” She said firmly. Villain saw the way he froze instantly. She could see the way his mind raced.
“Yes Villain?” He replied as he pulled himself together.Â
“Where have you been going of late? What reason do you have to ever leave this place?” She asked calmly. Sidekick’s response told her everything. He shifted and panic filled his eyes.
“I just… enjoy walks…” he said. Villain was not convinced. She approached Sidekick slowly.
“I think that you have had too many freedoms as of late,” Villain paused and held up a hand. A glowing blue chain suddenly appeared around Sidekicks neck. Villain wrapped the end of the chain around her hand then tugged it hard to knock Sidekick to the ground in front of her.
“I think you need to be reminded of your place.” She said bitterly. Villain grabbed Sidekick’s hair to force him to look up at her.
“Please… I-I’m sorry-“ he begged. Villain did not hurt him, she didn’t need to yet. He had all but confirmed her suspicions.
“What kind of coward can’t even abide by his own deal? You don’t have a shred of dignity in your whole body.” She spat. She let go of his hair and he collapsed to the ground again. The chain faded away as Villain stood up straight.
“You are on house arrest,” she glanced over at two henchmen standing nearby, “take him to his room.” The henchmen nodded and they picked Sidekick off the floor, dragging him off by his arms. Villain sighed, at least she had some loyal men.
